    Will Tina Make the Meeting? Damon has a dilemma.

    Bette pulled Tina tightly to her and both women exhaled as they relaxed into each other. They were nearly asleep when a nagging thought that had been lurking around Bettes mind slipped from her lips. T?

    Yeah, babe?, Tina mumbled.

    Are you going to the QA meeting tomorrow?, Bette asked.

    Tina swallowed hard as her tired brain tried to clear out the cobwebs in her mind and find an appropriate response. I.I dont know, Bette. I might be able to make it. Ill have to see.

    Bette sighed and if not for the heaviness in her eyes, she might have pushed Tina for a more definitive answer. But tonight was not the night. Bette accepted this response and tried not to let its meaning bother her as she drifted off to sleep with her soul mate in her arms.

    After kissing Bette goodbye, Tina grabbed her bath items and made her way to the shower. As she stood under the warm water, she couldnt get the pain in Bettes dark brown eyes out of her mind. Theyd started the morning off right with soft kisses, caresses, and declarations of love, both women still on a high from the previous nights lovemaking. Then came the hitch. Bette had asked Tina one last time if she was coming to the ***** Alliance meeting that evening. Tina had again told her girlfriend that she would try to make it, while averting her eyes and shifting nervously. Bette had pursed her lips, fighting back the urge to push the issue, and solemnly kissed Tina goodbye. It was then that Tina had seen the hurt in Bettes dark brown orbs. As Tina watched her lover walk away, she fought the urge to pull Bette back into her arms and make promises she didnt feel she could keep, all to bring forth the brilliant smile she longed to see. On this morning neither woman had given in to those urges and life simply marched on.

    This was the third meeting Tina was attempting to wiggle her way out of. As she rubbed the shampoo into her golden locks, she wondered just how frustrated Bette was becoming. They had never discussed this issue, but Tina knew her lover well enough to know that Bette was troubled by Tinas repeated absences. She knew that Bette wanted their relationship to be more public. Bette wanted to hold her hand when they walked across campus: Tina always refused. Bette wanted to kiss Tina hello when they met up in the student center, library, or dining hall; Tina always refused. Bette wanted them to be a couple in public as well as in private. Tina just wasnt ready for the publics intrusion into her sexuality.

    1. MTS, Another chapter so soon, and a doozy at that. Great storytelling, the drama builds. I have no fear about Sidney being there, unless you’re not being consistent with the previous series. You continue to do a wonderful job with this creative story and I love it! Thanks!

    14. God! I feel so sorry for Bette! I like the parallels between the two stories – Bette’s and Damon’s. I’m sure Bette is gonna be sorry she got into his mess.

    15. Man…their situation sucks…I understand Tina’s point of view, but I also understand Bette’s. They have good reasons…for Bette, she sees it like, if you love someone so much, it wouldn’t matter what race, age, or sex is, you should love them no matter what. But for Tina, being disowned by one’s parents bites BALLS!! I understand her pain because that is the exact thing I am going through. I fear, correction, I KNOW that when the day comes that I come out to my parents…I’ll be disowned. Sad…great writing MTS…serious matters at hand here, I can truly relate to. Thank you!!

    16. Seriously, you have to stop writing so much, after being away for a week I’m playing catch-up :) I loved the first story and the sequel is looking to be even better. I’m loving it!!!! Great chapter- and now that Im all caught up please write more soon :)
