“OMG” I said to myself silently. I closed my arms tighter around this woman. I couldn’t make myself let go at this moment, even if I wanted to….she had finally remembered something, and it was bad……Why? Why, if he is the one that had caused the accident, and killed her mother, how could she still be with him? Hell, how could he even be out of jail?? Or did anyone know it was him??……..or……………is that what caused him to beat her up so badly, maybe she found out, confronted him, and the tables turned her…..

After an hour of holding this woman, I slowly slid my arms out from around her, and left the room….left her to rest…….I proceeded into the living room, where Mr. Kennard was sitting. I walked up slowly to him, and sat across from him, “what do you have there?” I ask. Mr. Kennard leans up in his chair towards me, and hands me a picture….. “wow” I state. “She is very beautiful. Is this Tina’s mother?”

“Yes, yes ma’am it is.”
“I can see where Tina and the others get their beauty from..”

“Yes…..” he said….

“Mr. Kennard, may I ask you a few things? Regarding the accident?”

“Um, sure…”

“Well, I ……..Tina just told me something very disturbing….she remembered something….”

“Please….please tell me……does she remember the accident?”

“Well, yes …….well, actually….she remembers one thing about it……she remembers that it was her boyfriend that hit them……”

“Impossible…the young fellow that hit them, is on trial as we speak….”
“is it possible that Eric was in the car with the fellow, and left the scene? Did you witness any scratching, or bruising on him?”

“Um….well…….I guess I would have to sit back and think about that….”

“well you go ahead, I am gonna go in and check on Tina….”

“Thank you.” he said as he leaned back in his chair and closed his eyes……

I made my way down the hall, and slowly creaked the door open, there she was, the beautiful blond that I had only met yesterday, but stead-fastly had made a bond with. Laying on her side, clutching her pillow, and sleeping soundly. I close the door shut, slowly and quietly, and proceed back into the living room…..

“You know,” he started, “I do seem to remember some bruising on his face, that when asked, he said that he had been at a party and gotten into a fist fight with another boy…I remember my Tina being very upset by it. He and her stood in that bedroom in there,” he pointed to the bedroom, “and they argued for hours….until I got tired of hearing it, and I told him to leave…..”
