“Did he leave peacefully?” I ask……afraid of hearing the answer…….

“After I threw him out on the deck, and slammed the door….”

“Did he ever hit Tina before or show any kind of hostile behavior?”

“now that I think about it, NO….he only started acting that way after the ‘party’…..”

I took out my black book and pen, and I began to write these things down….. “OK….I am going to do some more checking, and I will let you know what I find…..if you remember anything, or need anything, and I mean anything from me……my number is…..555-5556.…..please don’t hesitate to call….” she writes the number down and hands him the paper….. “I have to get into the office….so…..like I said…….anything……call me……”

“Thank you Miss Porter..” he said as he stood, “and thank you for being there for my daughter….”

“Its my pleasure……” I say as I walk through the front door and to my car. I head to work with nothing but thoughts of the accident, and then Tina getting beaten…..I had to find out as much as could about this……seems that I remember an accident involving a mother and her daughter, and the mother being killed, but for the life of me, I cant remember the family’s name……..I arrive at the office in full speed, wanting to find this info out…….I walk in….. “Someone get me that detective on the phone…..”

“Um, which one Miss Porter?”

“The one with the Tina Kennard case……I need to talk to him….pronto…..”

“Detective Sparks on line 1…” came over then phone intercom.

“Thank you .” I respond……..and pick the phone up……

“Detective, this is Miss Porter…..do you have anything else on our Mr. Roberts?”

“No ma’am…..”

“Well, use this little tad of info that I got, and see if you can get him to open up….ask him about a party 6 months ago, that he attended and got into a fight with another young gentleman.”

“What does this have to do with the case, 6 months ago?” he asked eagerly

“Seems as though our client, has remembered something…..and it is very interesting to say the least…..do you remember 6 months ago, a lady and her daughter were hit head on, and the mother was killed? The daughter survived?”
