Money arrangements were made and Tina found her own apartment, having wanted to be on her own for some time to herself. She couldn’t even be honest with her friends about the affair – or herself for that matter. She tried to escape it.
Bette had tried reaching her, but she couldn’t get Tina at home, and Gregg wouldn’t talk to Bette, or relay any information. Disappointed in the rapid turn of events, Bette figured Tina had gone back to her husband in the mess of it all. And Tina had unfortunately never had Bette’s phone number because the somewhat unpredictable biker didn’t have her own phone. Lonely and miserable, Bette even drove by the house a number of times, always hoping to be calmed with Tina’s image, but at a certain point, she had to leave Tina to her life.
Tina had moved on too, but felt as though she was isolating herself. After all, no one had even tried understanding her situation – and when she really thought about it, neither had she. She started to wonder if she’d been into women all along, and just what that meant.
By way of understanding herself better through the process of her divorce, she started seeing a woman by the name of Marina. A nice woman of creative interests, Marina taught all kinds of recipes to Tina, and spoke with Tina about their lives. One night in particular, they made a messy dinner together, and then slowly made their way to the bedroom to make love. Tina felt it was so different from her nights with Bette, even when she tried not to compare the two, but she could hardly help the tendency. And, in any case, they didn’t make love as often as she wanted. Given her past, she didn’t feel it right to push the subject.
Slowly but surely, and through the gentle therapy of their conversations, Tina started to see that maybe there was more to life than being bitter. She started to like Marina and her cute accent, although she admitted to herself that she liked the way Bette spoke to her more – oddly enough, even more than her husband. She had always found Bette’s voice a great comfort, but Tina tried to let all of that go. She kept telling herself how stupid she was to be with Bette, but she couldn’t deny how she missed that good old fashioned rough sex – and it was rough. She would always deny it if asked, but when she was alone, and left to her own fantasies, it was often thoughts of Bette that brought her to climax. The way Bette had often objectified her boosted her self esteem, and served to give her an even greater sexual appetite.

I am not a violent person, but I really want to beat the shit out of Tina. That’s two hearts she has broken and nothing to show for. It sucks when your heart is broken and the person who is doing the breaking just stands there and cries, like their pain is greater than yours. Beautifully written GR, the last 2 chapters were like wading through mud for me. Always a treat to go through one of your emotional rollercoaster rides. Thank you so much for posting another classic for us.

I have to say that I really really dislike this Tina. Gregg and Marina should be thankful she dumped them and Bette should run as fast as she can in the opposite direction if she’s sees Tina coming her way. She is completely self absorbed and she seems to be a very uninteresting person. All she thinks about is which person pleases her the most. What do they all see in her? I can’t wait to see what she has to say to Bette when she sees her.
Tina is confused but a selfish bitch. Your writing is always of the highest caliber w/unique and interesting stories.
You all forget that Tina broke not just Greg’s and Marina’s hearts, but also Bette’s heart, at least that’s how I saw it, I might be mistaken though. Dang your Tina can barely deal with those emotions. Go find Bette, go find her! Woo! But unfortunately she does have lots of explainin’ to do, let’s hope Bette keeps an open mind about it
You all forget that Bette didn’t say much when she has been asked some questions from Tina. And OK, Tina was married and it was wrong to cheat but Bette knew all along and it was her choice to continue seeing Tina. And although I can understand that when you are lost and confused you don’t need to drag someone else in your maze but don’t tell me that you have never been in a situation that you needed someone, they “helped” and in the end you hurt them? I can’t wait for the next one. And as for hopes of Bette forgiving Tina, I believe that in a love like the one you discribe,words of forgiveness is not necessary.

entering new relation before find closure with her previous one was a mistake broke Marina’s heart. It is good that she finally discovered her love for Bette, I wish she can find her soon ;DAmazing update, and keep it coming ;D

Great update. I, too, think Tina should leave Gregg alone, there is nothing she can say that will make the pain go away or hurt less. Having said that, Gregg bears a little fault as well for ignoring Tina except for wanting to be intimate with her only to have a child. He is not guilt free either and I’m sure neither he nor Tina have thought of that. Great chapter. I really hope Tina can find Bette and talk with her. Maybe they can get to a point of being with each other because they want to and not just have stolen moments. Still I want to know more about Bette. We don’t know if she is in a relationship or what she is doing, where she lives, nor where she works. thanks. more please. !!!
