Tina laid on her side, her head resting in the palm of her hand as she looked at Bette’s naked back. The brunette was sitting up, her hands fidgeting in her lap as she took a deep breath. She inhaled sharply as she felt a delicate hand rub her back slowly.

A soft smile appeared on her face as Tina silently comforted her. Her girlfriend was so patient, loving and understanding. She deserved to know everything about Bette.

Bette cleared her throat and took one more deep breath.

"I was born into a secluded village for Oracles. It was hidden away, far from any civilization to better protect us from being attacked"

Tina continued to rub Bette’s back as she spoke. She was glad that the brunette was opening up to her, Tina could imagine how hard it was for Bette so she remained silent and let her lover speak.

"The village was a sanctuary for all Oracles, whether you were pure or a Hybrid like me. Hybrid’s were usually more feared because of the powers they could inhabit from their other half. I’m half human so they deemed me relatively harmless . . I don’t think anyone knew how skilled of a fighter I would become"

Bette smirked at the memory, she remembered how much she enjoyed proving her people wrong in terms of weakness. The only one who had faith in her was Kit.

"In the village there were 3 Oracles that excelled high above anyone else. Kit, myself and . ."

Tina’s eyes widened and nodded in understanding.

"Jodi" She whispered.

Bette nodded as she felt a lump form in her throat. She took another breath to remain strong.

"Kit excelled in the healing arts, I excelled in physical and Jodi excelled in magical. She’s a Hybrid too, part Oracle and part Ghoul. That’s why she’s able to absorb powers from other races. Ghouls have that ability"

Tina’s eyes fell to the ground as she tried to contemplate what this meant for them. She felt Bette tense up and knew the story was about to get rough.
