Jenny mumbled something from behind Shane’s hand and both Nikki and Shane looked to her. Shane released Jenny.

"What did you say?"

"I said, don’t you hate that?"

Nikki’s eyes widened as she pushed Shane aside and got close to Jenny, grabbing her hands.

"Oh my God, I know right?!"

The girls babbled back and forth about pointless things as Shane shot Bette a glance. The brunette limped over to the group with Tina’s help and decided to cut off the annoying women.

"Ahem"

Nikki and Jenny stopped talking and looked to Bette as if she interrupted the most important conversation ever.

Bette rolled her eyes, "You were saying?"

Nikki looked to Jenny then back to Bette, "Oh yeah, so anyways it was getting dark so me and my bodyguards-"

"Bodyguards?" Shane couldn’t help but cut in.

Nikki looked to her as if she had an extra head, "Uh yeah. Anyways we set up camp where we heard some screaming in the middle of the night"

Bette and Tina glanced at each other, their eyes widening as they tried not to laugh.

Nikki continued, "I sent my troops out to investigate where they ran into you all I guess"

Jenny nodded, oblivious to Bette and Tina’s glances at each other.

"Sounds about right. So . . what are you headed now?"

Nikki smiled at Jenny’s flirtatious tone and ignored everyone else around them. Bette looked at Tina, then Shane and the three walked away to give the two women some private time.

They joined Kit, Tasha and Alice to discuss what just happened while watching Nikki and Jenny talk.

"We can’t stay here anymore, Bette" Shane said.

Bette nodded and winced at the pain in her arm but she ignored it. Tina noticed first though.

"You okay, babe?"

Bette nodded to not worry Tina but she couldn’t move her arm. She forced a soft smile.

"I’m fine, baby"

Tina nodded but didn’t buy what Bette told her. She decided to let it go for now.

Bette looked back at Shane but she felt Tina’s eyes boring into her. She cleared her throat nervously.

"I think we should head East"

Just then, Nikki’s army began to head out and caught everyone’s attention. Jenny ran up to the group.

"Hey, we’re all going to Nikki’s castle"

Bette raised an eyebrow, "We?"

"Yeah, she said we can stay there and stuff"

Shane scoffed, "You’re kidding"

"We don’t even know her" Tina said.

While everyone was arguing with Jenny, Bette contemplated about what to do. She wanted to say no because in truth, they didn’t know Nikki. But then she thought about the condition she was in and how Tina’s father’s army should be closing in on them. They needed shelter and a place to recover if only for a day.

Bette sighed, I know I’m gonna regret this.

She looked at Jenny and nodded, "Okay, we’ll go"
