Bette was afraid to tell Tina that she loved her because she knew she had to admit something else first: she used to be a player. She’d been out with so many other women that she was ashamed of her past – knowing that Tina deserved more. But she wanted to make herself good enough for Tina. Still, there was the item of her honesty. Bette had a few things she had to get off her chest.
It was another week before Bette had a chance to see Tina in person because of work. It killed her to wait, but what really frightened her was confessing what she knew Tina had every right to know. She wanted Tina to know, but while Bette was a beautiful, confident woman, she was insecure in her own ways. She felt that if someone ever really understood her past, they would never be able to give her a chance. She’d been relatively heartless in past relationships with women – hardly deserving the title of relationship at all in most cases.
Bette straightened up in her black Mercedes, looking out to the elementary school with the deep red bricks. She inhaled the spring air and watched with one arm braced on her car door, waiting for Angelica. In order to see Tina that night, she’d offered to drive Angelica home from school – so Tina’s meeting could start just after her own busy day.
As the bell rang, kids came screaming out of the building – laughing and holding the straps of their backpacks. Some swinging them around. Bette couldn’t believe the instant chaos. Especially amidst the activity all around the schoolyard, one girl stood out from the rest, and she was heading straight from the car. Bette saw her talking with one girl – Jessica – but then making her way quickly to the pick-up area. Bette unlocked the car doors and waited as Angelica sat inside and put her backpack at her feet.
“Hey. Have a good day?”
Angelica sighed, holding back a smile as she busied herself checking her things. “It was school.”
“I see,” Bette smiled back, watching with great interest as Angelica glanced out at the school again and then zipped up her backpack and looked for her seatbelt. “Just over your shoulder … yeah. You got it.”
“So, are we going home or what?”

this story has me hooked bad!.I love Bette to go ahead,despite being afraid,that she says i am this,take me or leave me. She really is playing for the love! and about Angie i don’t think she has a problem with Bette and Tina relationship,maybe she is being bullied at the school or maybe she doesn’t understand her mother being a lesbian (kids are complicated)and i also have the same question like seduction,Tina referring to herself as being a lesbian virgin is an accurate reason for Bette’s lust? it worth for me ha! it’s HOT. PPVS!!!

Also happy that finally Bette do her confession and I guess from Tina’s reaction is more on her personal bad experience.. Maybe Angie’s father was a player who take gullible Tina for granted and then leave her when she was pregnant!? Hm.. I wonder what happen to Angie.. Is she worry sick about Tibette closeness?! The Birthday Wish Hello GrindRight, I ‘m enjoying this story. Although I must admit it’sbringing back memories from my past. I too was once a player. I knew justwhat to say and do. “Dam the kitty cats tight.” Sorry I got lost for a moment.Back to the subject, my greatest concern is for Angelica. Bette mentioned to Shane that she does not love Angelica while confessing her love for Tina. Is it possible for Bette to give Tina real love while she herself is learning what love means? On the other hand, was Tina’s inference referring to herself as being a lesbian virgin an accurate reason for Bette’s lust? Do your thing keep grinding right!
Well, Bette, that might not have been the most artful delivery of the “player” news, but you can’t be smooth all the time. Listen to the yoda, you must. :)

Thanks for the update. I think Tina had a right to be upset. Bette is the first woman she has been with so this is all new to her. For all she knows Bette tells all the women that she’s with that they are special and she’s a “changed woman” because of it. I think Tina is right to be skeptical. People don’t usually change. Bette will need to prove it over time. I’m glad Bette told her before she found out another way. It’s a good start for her new way of relating to a woman. I hope she sticks with it and I hope Tina gives her a chance. Looking forward to the next update.
