Out of Closet (TiBette time-travel romance), Ch. 60
(Previously) The day went by but Tina couldn’t remember a thing about it. The girls were coming and going but someone always was in the house with her. Tina mostly stayed in the bedroom because she didn’t want her misery affecting anyone else.
Kit cooked dinner but Tina wasn’t hungry. She just curled up on the bed, hugging Bette’s pillow and cried herself to sleep. Her dreams were empty and she woke up at dawn restless, watching the sun rising through the half open shutters. Tina used to love early mornings, curled up next to Bette, watching her sleep. Now alone in their bed she wondered where Bette was and what she was doing, trying not to think about her life without the woman she loved.

“Our families have been spending a lot of time together, bound by all that happened six months ago. We all became so close and it’s really comforting. As weird as it might sound but your disappearance brought us closer together.”
Bette smiled, not in the least shocked by such admission. “I’m glad something good came out of it.”
The servant girl placed the tea and biscuits on the coffee table in front of them and left. Christina poured them some tea and smiled, “So, are you going to tell me about that lucky girl who has your heart now?”

Tina and Bette’s House
The next morning didn’t improve Tina’s mood. She trusted Bette and their love but it was hard to keep it together because she didn’t know if Bette would be able to come back from the past. Alice hadn’t heard from Professor Kroll yet and they were still in the dark regarding the time portal and its longevity.
