    The safe house.

    It is a place only a select few know about.  Agent Sandra McLane of the Secret Service is one of them and even though it is at risk of her employment, it is a place she has never divulged to her superiors.

    Entering the living room, she can see that there is caution on the face of a young lady, along with a mixture of hope and worry from Sally Norris, Sandra’s wife.  Their baby, Sara Lou is on the couch with the Lady In Black looking after her.

    Sally meets Sandra with a kiss and an embrace.

    Sally “Am I glad to see you…”

    Sandra “I need to know what’s going on.”

    The Lady In Black motions for the young lady to come over and look after Sara Lou and stands to meet both Sally and Sandra.

    Lady In Black “Sandra, it’s been a long time.”

    Sandra “It has.  What’s going on?”

    Lady In Black “There’s a very clear danger to your family Missus McLane.  I have it on a reliable source that someone’s looking to make a move on the child.  They’ve already tried with Dot here.”

    Sandra looks over and sees Dot, who is trying to focus only on Sara Lou.

    Lady In Black “While you’ve been busy investigating your leads overseas, Kate Lane was being arrested after a rather fantastic display of heroism by…what were their names again?”

    Dot looks up at the Lady In Black.

    Dot “Nightwing and Robin.”

    Lady In Black “Nightwing and Robin!  Do you know anything about that?  I know you’ve been to Gotham and it does seem to be quite a mess right now.  And in case you’re wondering, yes all of that is connected to this.”

    Sandra looks to her wife.

    Sandra “What is she talking about, Sally?”

    Sally “Someone was looking to kidnap our child.”

    Lady In Black “And possibly Sally, too to sweeten the pot.  We’re hoping that the arrest of Kate Lane has broken that up, but I’m afraid it hasn’t.  But they’re safe here.  I have someone ready to be here the moment any problems arise.  And while Sally is here, I’m sure you’ll still be able to handle yourself.”

    Sandra “So this is related to the Tigress?  And Cobblepott?”
