Sandra of the Secret Service
The briefing was informative and at times, stressful. In other words, it was like any usual briefing for Sandra. Soon, her mission would have her returning to Gotham City to investigate the Penguin, the possible tie-ins with the Tigress, and the mysterious “Caped Crusaders” of Gotham City. Federal intelligence, from the the F.B.I. to the C.I.A. to now, the Secret Service all had an interest in discovering more about these vigilantes who fought crime.
Agent Sandra McLane meanwhile just wanted to spend a little bit of her free time at home. She wanted to see her wife, Sally. She wanted to her young daughter, Sara Lou. Driving on the way home, her cellphone is placed in a deck on board with voice command activated, calling for Sally.
Sally “Sandra…”
Sandra “Hey. Finally done with Europe for now. I actually have some time before I have to go back to Gotham…”
She can hear some kind of shuffling noise on the other end, causing her voice to trail off. She then hears another voice.
Lady In Black “Agent McLane. You need to get here. Safehouse, you know where.”
Sandra knows that voice. She remembers that voice. She remembers the Lady In Black. If she is involved, something bad is about to happen.
The Wrath of Fang Gow
Somewhere in Hong Kong, Jean Le Grand is doing her best to act like a tourist and magazine journalist. Part of her plan has her visiting some of the other Chinese cities. She knows that eyes are on her at all times so slipping free to track down and rescue an ally will not be easy. She has a lead, but it is a matter of infiltration.
Elsewhere in China, two people find themselves being thrust into a pit. There are spectators yelling. There are guards. The people are surrounded by bloodlust and gambling. One is male. His name is Barry. The other is female. Her name is Laurel. Both look as if they have suffered through some punishment up to this point and now they find themselves to be entertainment for an unwelcoming audience. Both hear an announcement in Mandarin Chinese. Laurel listens intently while still taking in the surroundings while Barry looks around, hoping for an escape.
