“Not talking to me yesterday was not cool,” she said simply as she handed me the squeeze bottle of her shampoo.

I should have realized that she wasn’t going to let me off so easily.

As I shampooed my hair, I answered hastily, “Um … remember that’s why I mentioned the Northern Lights and everything, last night? To try to make it up to you? You know … before we … before we…kissed, and then went up to your bedroom, and …”

My voice trailed off. She looked me straight in the eye after I rinsed the shampoo off, and, as she handed me the conditioner squeeze bottle, she said in a firm voice that rang out over the sound of the shower, “I want you to leave with a good frame of mind, honey, but don’t think for a second that we’re done with all of this, alright?”

The shampoo dripped off of her nipples as she rinsed her hair, facing me. Damn, she was hot as Hades!

“It’s ridiculous that I’m unable to touch you when all I can think about is…” I said out loud, and caught myself before I said anything else.

She opened her eyes, and a naughty gleam shone out of them.

“I don’t want you to go …” she answered, skimming her fingertips on a line that ran from my shoulder, down the slope of my breast, over a puckered nipple, following a trail of water and slippery conditioner that dripped off of my nape.

I gave her a quick kiss and whispered, “You know I don’t want to go. But I need to go…”

She gave me small smile, and asked “Just a quick touch, then?  To tell me you’ll come home safe?”

I blew an unsteady breath out as she directed my hand to her mound.

“Tell me …” she whispered.

“I’m coming home to you,” I said as I grazed my fingertips over her wet lips, and slipped a finger in, pumped her twice, and then pulled out.

With a trembling smile, she spun me around gently and started to soap my back down.

Home. Harley was home, to me. There was no power on earth that would keep me from her, that was one thing I was sure of now.
