All Alone – (Chapter: There For You)

Kyla eventually showed up and walked over to where Aiden and I were still sitting. I could tell from the look on her face, she didn’t know what to say. I watched her try to read my emotions, but the only problem was, I didn’t know how to feel. Part of me was pissed for her doing something this stupid, the other part of me was pissed at myself for not making her talk to me. I saw she was hurt, but I let it slide. And another part of me just wanted to crawl into a hole and cry, away from everybody and their sympathetic half hearted smiles. They didn’t change anything. All I wanted was to see my girl.

“She’s, she’s going to be ok Ash,” Kyla finally stated stumbling over words. It was useless, but I know she had good intentions.

“Why did she do this?” I murmured miserably.

    “I don’t know,” Kyla sighed.

“How long has she been in there Aiden?” I asked, speaking the first words to him since we got here.

“Half and hour,” he shifted out of his daze. Only to return to his original comatose state of oblivion.

“Here comes someone now,” Kyla stated, as a doctor walked into the waiting room and approached us.

Ever judge someone before they even shake your hand? Looking up I ran my eyes up to scan across his facial expressions and the way he carried himself with so much arrogance, well if I were to judge this guy, I would say he had a stick up his ass, but for some reason there was something about him that I liked. He carried around a sympathetic look that had been carved into his face. Yet, even though the charade got old after awhile, he seemed somewhat genuine.

“Hi, I’m Ben. You were the ones who came in with Spencer right?” he asked looking up from his clip board with that professional tone in his voice. He’s said this speech a million times. He’s given people good news, bad news, given them good news just to hit them with news that would cripple people for the rest of their lives. By now, it was all routine. But could I blame him?

“She’s ok right?” I asked unable to hold back any longer. I needed to know right now.
