Spencer smoothed down her top for the umpteenth time and calmed her shaking nerves and tremulous hands. One last glance in the mirror confirmed that she looked good and she walked out of the bedroom. Elly met her in the living room with an awe filled look on her face and a cookie in her hand. Spencer appreciated the way she’d managed to interrupt the eating of said cookie just with her emergence. Keeping Elly from a cookie was well nigh impossible so at least she knew she looked pretty good. That being said, she let out a chuckle when her daughter crammed the rest of the chocolaty goodness in her mouth and signed at her, still in awe:
“You look beautiful”. The little girls eyes were round and brilliant.
Careful not to get chocolate on her outfit, Spencer knelt down and swept her into a huge hug, tucking a stray lock of blonde curls behind one ear on her little girl. Every day Elly looked just a little bit more like Spencer. Sometimes Spencer wondered if her heart could hold any more love but every day Elly found a new way to make it do so.
“Thank you” she signed back.
Gray came out of the kitchen, a tea towel slung over one shoulder and his jeans riding low on his hips. To Spencer’s surprise, he’d been more than happy to be home in time so she could go out. In fact, he’d been positively encouraging.
“That’s great. You should go out. You need more friends. I can be home in time.” He’d said, a cute smile on his face. Spencer had bitten her lip and yet, still questioned him.
“Are you sure? You have this project.”
“It’s fine” he protested. “I can take one damn night off. You have fun.”
And here he was, true to his word. In a damn hot tight t-shirt, with a sexy grin on his face. Spencer wished she felt more tightening inside at the sight of that but she supposed after being married for so long you just got comfortable.
“My god don’t you look sexy.” He said, eyebrows raising suggestively.
“Do I?” Spencer hoped so, she was still so unsure.

I love this story! Don’t get me wrong I am in an emotional, depressed state right now from a lack of 28 Days but this story is so amazing it helps ease the wait. Its about time something happened between those two. Hope your journey goes well. The fate of spashley is in your hands oh gaurdian angel :)
You are totally amazing! This story has so much emotion backing it, I find it difficult not to get wrapped up in the characters. You’ve done an amazing job of providing the reader with insight into Spencer’s true thoughts and feelings. I LOVE IT! The characters are awesome and I love Elly! Keep it up….and smack bannerman and RuggerfrmSON for not posting!
I really like the pacing with this story. I also like knowing what’s going on in Spencer’s head. The tension before the kiss was extremely well written and your ending was perfect.

Okay, I’ll admit that it was a bit hard for me to change gears and get into this fic, but I just re-read all of it tonight, and now I’m hopelessly in love with yet ANOTHER one of your stories!

I love it. I love this story I like it more then 28days even thought both are amazing. I’m sorry that you don’t like my newest story hunny. But please read the next few chapters then decide wether or no your going to keep reading it

wehey! loving it even more… I reckon Ash may already be involved with someone, but who knows!? well… I guess you do! I hope you’re not too sickened by the idea of teacher/student ‘alliances’, for I am the result of such a thing, lol… a beautiful 22yr old Italian student teacher meets a cocky, blonde haired, blue eyed 17 yr old sports ace and then a few years down the line I exist… great stuff, lol, and not a cyborg of any description in sight. I hope Ash and Spence are worth this adventure you have embarked upon, cos it seems like a lot of effort to me when you could just pretend they’re yours and continue to write about them!? who knows! More soon per favore! :-)

so as you have devoted all you spare time that you cant afford to lose i have now managed to make myself late for school. AHA, but you know what its completely worth it. …arrrgh! I managed to pull meself out of the rock that landed on me last night. A rock also known as Blue Moon Belgian-style white. Yum. Anyways, I’m glad the steel bunny got there in one piece and is proving to be helpful. Now, if only that damn cyborg mountain goat would takea swim and short circuit, we’d all be a lot happier. Glad to see Jesus’ new motorcycle is helping out, too. And Ohio, eh? Stop by Philly and we can finally share the nachos we’ve been discussing (but not the ones I sent you, because they looked nasty). Sorry, I’m too hungover to be witty. Glad to see Bannerman is back, and with stories of the not-so-immaculate conception, I see! Woo-hoo* ouch. Head hurts. Back to bed.
