    I like throwing things too :)

    Placating her mother enough to be able to escape home had been difficult. Placating Elly at being torn away from her grandparents had been even harder. As close as the two of them were, Spencer knew her daughter was not happy. She was cute when she was mad, arms crossed and a frown across her little four year old brow. She looked like Spencer but when Spencer was mad. She was so damn cute that Spencer couldn’t possibly have been mad back, but that didn’t stop the four year old from quite pointedly not talking to her. Spencer was impressed with that. Her daughter didn’t actually talk at all and yet managed to convey the message that she was not talking on purpose at this point in time. It was cute but slightly infuriating.

     

    By the time they got home, Elly was in the worst mood possible. The car trip had been hot and there was an accident, causing traffic back up for over an hour. If there was one thing Spencer didn’t need right now, it was a grumpy four year old. But she had one. The grumpiness culminated in an almighty tantrum on the living room floor. The child managed to throw it without making a sound. Had she spoken, Spencer supposed she probably would have woken the dead, but instead she threw the most impressive silent tantrum the blonde had ever seen. It ended with Spencer picking her up off the floor and dumping Elly in her bedroom, on her bed, shutting the door behind her and leaning against it.

     

    Rubbing her forehead she wondered what she was going to do with herself. She could hear Elly throwing things in her room and debated about going in there before serious damage could be done. She decided against it. Elly was the best behaved child she’d ever seen even with her occasional breakdowns. Chances were she’d get over it soon.

     

    Spencer sat on the couch and hugged a pillow to her chest. The weekend had managed to drive her insane and she longed for work on Tuesday, something to get her mind off things. When Elly was at school, Spencer was determined to go back to longer hours at work. She missed the stimulation, the challenge. She knew she’d miss being home with her daughter too though.

    1. okay, because i love you imma ignore the fact that you said Louisanna/Florda border. (cause there isnt one) and i will tell you taht theres a perfectly good swamp on the florida/georgia border (cause i’m from georgia). i loved the imagery in this one. adorable 4 year old breakdown. and mom, not giving in to it ….so fantastic. i like the pace this is moving, makes the story so fluid and wonderful. you rock my face off

    4. I am a very selfish person. Thus, I would like you to avoid all moments of possible happiness, which means a holiday is out of the question.What will I do without this fic? I love it so much…am I going to have to send my cyborg mountain goat after you again? Man, it’s hilarious how honestly bummed I am over this news, lol. you rock. :)

    21. so i definitely didn’t know that you were the author of 28 days too, but that pretty much made my day because now youre the author of BOTH my favorite stories on here :], it’s pretty damn exciting. you know, because i’m such a loser. but anywaysyou need to get them together already! actually..just do what youve been doing…because when they DO get together ( and i know they will..or should..because that’s just how spashley works), it will just be that much better. but either way..pms! ! ! :)

I just got through reading this story from post one, and I have to tell you, I think I fell in love! I can feel so much comming from this story and it just makes me reak with all these emotions! I dont really know what to say, because for the first real time im at a loss for words!! I dont really know what I feel right now!! All I can really conclude from my aww struck mind ( that doesnt happen often) is that you are a really excellent writer! In some strange way I feel honored to even be reading your stories!! Is it just me or does anybody else feel the same way? ANy ways on a last note I just wanted to say that Gray sucks!! HOW FUCKING WRONG is it of him to even so much as think that of Elly??
