Crazy Thing Called Love – (Chapter: Chapter Twelve)
Ashley pulled up her Porsche at the park. “Here we are,” Ashley said. Ashley got out of her side of the Porsche and went to open the door for Spencer.
“Thanks,” said Spencer with a smile.
“No problem,” Ashley replied returning the smile. Ashley took out a blanket from the backseat.
“So are you going to tell me what the blanket is all about?” asked Spencer with curiosity.
“Nope, not yet,” Ashley answered.
“Please,” pleaded Spencer.
“Still not telling,” Ashley stated. “Don’t worry about it. It’s not like I’m going to suffocate anyone who bothers us or anything.”
“You’re too much,” mused Spencer.
“You love it though,” Ashley pointed out.
“I love you,” said Spencer.
“I love you, too,” Ashley replied. Spencer leaned in to kiss Ashley sweetly on her lips. Ashley smiled and cupped Spencer’s face. She gently bit down on Spencer’s bottom lip. Spencer made the kiss more passionate. Ashley pulled back from the kiss with a smile. She took Spencer’s hand.
“This park brings a lot of memories for us,” began Spencer with a smile.
“Yes, it does,” Ashley agreed. “It should be renamed the park of Spashley or something.” Spencer nodded in agreement. “These are the times you wish you could have a time machine, right?”
“Totally,” stated Spencer. “This was the place where we would mark our names when we first started dating.”
“Yeah, one of the places where we marked our names is in the cement though,” Ashley added with a smile.
“Really?” asked a surprised Spencer. “How do you know that they didn’t redo the cement or anything?”
“Yep with our handprints on the ground as well,” Ashley answered. “I’ve made a visit to the park several times when I returned to LA to make sure that nothing happened. Remember the carved heart in the tree?” Ashley pointed out a tree with a carved heart.
“Of course I do,” responded Spencer with a smile. Spencer and Ashley walked towards the tree. “I remember the tree like it was just yesterday. We carved our initials into the tree. We carved S&A 4ever.” Spencer traced her fingers over their initials.
“And ever,” Ashley added. “We’ll be together until the end of time. Do you know that it was one of the first places I came back to when I returned to LA after my tour?”
