“You were a dork even back then Spence,” she said nudging her in the ribs. Spencer blushed.

“Glad someone finally agrees with me,” a semi deep voice called from the hallway behind them. Ashley turned around to see Spencer’s other brother Glen. She knew right away that he was her brother, he had Spencer’s eyes. Somehow though, his eyes didn’t seem to radiate the warmth that Spencer’s eyes did. “I’m Glen, by the way and who might you be?”

“I’m Ashley Davies.” There was no question in her mind that she already didn’t like him. She could feel his eyes all over her body and definitely wasn’t interested.

“No shit! The Ashley Davies?!” His mouth had dropped open, as his eyes dawned with recognition.

“Yep, that’s me or I’m her, whichever you prefer.” She was trying to be nice but it was pretty hard.

“I’ll take whichever one or whatever you’ll give me beautiful,” Spencer smacked her brother on the head causing him to examine his curly blonde hair in the mirror quickly.

“Ew Glen, five minutes and you’re already hitting on my friend… You are seriously disturbed.” Ashley did a silent cheer for her girlfriend.

“Hey Everyone! I’m home!” Ashley’s nervousness returned and her palms immediately began to sweat. This was it. Time to meet the mother. She heard Paula setting her stuff down in the kitchen and heard her as she came around the corner. Make a good impression, make a good impression, make a good imp-

“You must be Ashley! It’s so nice to meet you!” She extended her perfectly manicured hand and Ashley wiped her sweaty palms on her pant legs.

“It’s really nice to meet you too Maam. You have a really nice home here,” Paula stepped back and looked at the boys.

“We certainly like it, It’s a little lonely around here without the kids but we manage. Ben should be home soon. Spencer get over here and give me a hug, let’s all go out to dinner tonight shall we? Ashley what kind of food do you like?”
