Falling down means you have to crawl back up – (Chapter: You’ve pretty much killed me)

Spencer held the baby tight in her arms afraid that she might drop the little buddle that she was holding. She gazed down at the boy she held staring at him transfixed by how beautiful he was. It amazed her how instantly she had fallen in love with baby Clay and how deep the love went. It was like being close to her brother again the warmth from the babies body travelled through to her chest. Using her other hand that was not supporting him she ran her palm gently over his head taking in his sweet scent. The beauty of the baby she embraced broke her heart, she felt selfish that she was holding him; and his father never would. His big brown eyes were eagerly searching the room taking in the surroundings, he was surprisingly happy for a young enfant, rarely crying or causing a fuss. As Spencer was bringing her hand away from Clay’s head she softly tapped his nose, the enfant brought his hand up and grabbed the blonde’s finger.

“Whoa little man, quite a grip you’ve got on you.” She whispered quietly.

“He’s gonna need that grip for when he dribbles the ball down the court.” Glen chipped in as he leaned over the back of the couch to look at his new nephew.

“The only dribbling he’s going to be doing at the moment is down his bib.” Chelsea said chuckling as she almost fell asleep across the room. The siblings watched her, noting how exhausted the young mother seemed as the girl looked up at her brother who walked into the kitchen to speak to his parents.

“You look shattered.” Spencer pointed out as she shifted her gaze between mother and son. “Get some sleep.”

“I can’t I have to get going soon, put little mister here to bed.” Chelsea said slowly, the need to sleep was starting to take over her body.

“No you’re not.” The new voice belonged to Paula, who had just entered the room with Arthur.

“What?” The girl’s head shot up from it’s slummed position blinking her eyes hard, trying to focus.

“Chels, stay here tonight we will look after Clay if he wakes up.” Paula explained, remembering how she felt when she was a young mum.

    1. Oh no you did’nt! Who the hell was in the car? Spencer? Kyla? Ashley? How could you possibly end the chapter there? I know, I know because it’s fun to leave the reader wanting more. Anyway, I feel so sorry for Ash, her broken heart may never recover and the worst is that Spencer has lost Ashley’s friendship, as well. PLEASE, I BEG OF YOU POST MORE TODAY!
