Falling down means you have to crawl back up – (Chapter: You’ve pretty much killed me)

“I don’t have work tonight so I can take care of him, it’s been a while since I’ve had a baby to look after.” Arthur continued gazing at his grandson lovingly.

“Oh I couldn’t ask you to do that.” Chelsea started.

“You’re not asking we’re telling.” He continued with a firm nod. “Why don’t you go up-” His sentence was interrupted by the door bell going and everyone bar Spencer looked to the source of the sound with a frown.

“That would be for me.” The blonde said turning to pass the baby in her arms to her mother, she got up and walked to the door greeting a short brunette. “Hey come in.”

Kyla walked into the busy living room and waved and smiled at all of them. “Wow everyone.” Her eyes shifted to Arthur who was grinning widely at her. “Any cheese cake going?” He chuckled.

“None tonight but next week I will have one ready and made just for you.”

“It’s scary how excited I am about that.” Kyla laughed.

“Where are you two off to tonight?” Paula asked who was now sitting down and doting on the little boy she was holding.

“Just Greys, hey Chels you wanna come?” Spencer asked but she already knew the answer seeing the girl almost falling asleep.

“Thanks but I’m thinking I’m just going to sleep.” Spencer nodded and watched as Kyla walked over to her mother and tickled little Clay. Paula smiled at the exchange and it made Spencer smile thinking how well the shorter girl fitted in to her family life.

“God Chelsea, you have given birth to one handsome little man. He is going to break hearts.”

“Isn’t he?” She smiled but her eyelids were dropping.

“Kyla you should come over for dinner on Sunday, we’re going to have a BBQ.” Paula invited her daughters friend, she had been a bit guarded about Kyla at first but after she’d seen the way she’d been there for her daughter it had disappeared. They had become extraordinarily tight over the past months and she was grateful that Spencer had someone she could depend upon.

“That would be great. There’s going to be chicken right?” She whipped around to face Arthur who could not hold back his laugh.

    1. Oh no you did’nt! Who the hell was in the car? Spencer? Kyla? Ashley? How could you possibly end the chapter there? I know, I know because it’s fun to leave the reader wanting more. Anyway, I feel so sorry for Ash, her broken heart may never recover and the worst is that Spencer has lost Ashley’s friendship, as well. PLEASE, I BEG OF YOU POST MORE TODAY!
