“Huh?” The question threw Spencer and she stood there dumfounded.

“I don’t know I feel like there is something you want to say.” Ashley felt her heart racing, she was aware that she might be getting her hopes up; but her emotions were taking over. She’d been annoyed with herself earlier for believing Madison’s words, she knew that Spencer and Kyla would never do that to her. Now she was beginning to believe that maybe…just maybe Spencer was going to tell her that she still felt the same.

“That’s scary how well you know that.”

“I think you forget how well I knew and still know you.” That sentence scared Spencer a little; did she know? “What is it?”

“Okay can we go outside and tal…” Spencer was interrupted by Kyla who had come back to the group with Aiden.

“Spence can I talk to you?” Kyla said quickly realising straight away where the conversation with Ashley and Spencer was going.

“Actually we were just going to talk.” Ash jumped in, desperate to know what was on Spencer’s mind.

The blonde’s eyes shifted between Ashley and Kyla trying to decide which sister to talk to but she knew which one her loyalty had to lay with. She turned to her old girl friend and smiled warmly at her. “I’ll be back in a second Ash, and we’re going to talk.”

Spencer and Kyla walked out of Grey’s watched by a hurt and confused Ashley who couldn’t piece together what had just taken place. The blonde finally stopped around the corner in front of Kyla and frowned at her puzzled by the way Kyla had pulled her away. “What’s wrong?” Spencer questioned.

“You can’t tell her tonight.”

“What?” Spencer still didn’t understand what was going on.

“Ashley. You can’t tell her here and now, wait, tell her tomorrow.” Kyla began. “It will just cause drama here and it will all get around school, so wait.”

“Kyla I can’t wait. I feel so terribly lying to her, I hate looking her in the eyes.” Spencer said pacing but was stopped by a gentle hand grasping hers.

“I know it’s hard but it’s only one more night.” Kyla interlocked her hand with Spencer’s while lifting the other to push a strand of blonde hair behind her ear. “I don’t want to lie to anyone, especially Ash. And I want people to know but it will cause more trouble if we do it tonight.”
