    Forgetting Bella Swan

He looked her in her eyes so sincerly. Aubrey felt her jealousy and insecure thoughts melt away. If Jacob was still in love with Bella, he wouldn't be with Aubrey. Jacob was a loyal and dogmatic man. He wouldn't have given up on someone that he loved so easily. He would've kept fighting for her. She smiled and kissed him gently.

    "I love you too, Jake."

They spent the rest of the afternoon working on Jacob's car. Aubrey wanted to know more about Bella, but decided to leave the subject alone for now. It obviously upset Jacob, and she didn't want to do anything to hurt him. When she arrived home later that day, Noemi was waiting for her in the living room.

"How did everything with Jacob go?"

    "Great!"

Aubrey started to head towards the steps, but Noemi stopped her.

"Did you find out about Bella?" She asked desperately.

"Oh, yeah! Well, she's a girl that Jacob used to be in love with."

    Noemi raised her eyesbrows.

"But she chose this guy named Edward over him. He was really messed up about until he met me. You know, the whole im–"

"Imprinting thing," Noemi interrupted anxiously. "Did he say anything else about Bella?"

"Um…she's getting married in three weeks. Oh and get this; Edward is a vampire and he's going to change her after they get married."

Noemi felt her heart break all over again. She didn't want him to marry that girl, let alone changing her so she could be around forever!

    "Anything else?"

"Nope. I would've found out more but I know its a sensitive subject for Jacob, so I didn't want to push it. But I will find out more, I promise."

Noemi nodded slowly, trying to think of a plan.

    "Okay. Thank you, sweetheart."

Aubrey started walking upstairs, planning to take a shower.

    "Bree, wait!"

Aubrey stopped walking and looked back at her mother.

    "Yeah?"

"I know this may sound odd, but I really need you to get Jacob and Bella to be friends again. Just trust me, okay?"

    Aubrey nodded.

    "Okay."

"And Aubrey, whatever you do, don't go anywhere near Edward."

    "Why not?"

"Just trust me, okay? Stay away from him."

"Alright," Aubrey said. She was confused as to why Noemi would say that, but she would obey her anyway. She had never steered her wrong before. "Well, I'm going to get in the shower then I'm going to bed. Good night, mom."

    "Good night, sweetheart."

    "Love you."

    "Love you too."

With that, Aubrey trotted up the steps, determined to find out more about Bella.
