And then she was back… those curls….the auburn hair… those brown eyes…that look of fire in her eyes..she was back… Of course she wasn’t really back. He had spent most of the day, and the last couple of weeks, thinking about her. The crazy brunette that caused him to lose his temper.

He had been leaving the gym after practice, and he heard yelling. First he saw Tannen, who sat right beside him in Algebra. He wasn’t surprised that she was fighting because her attitude problem rivaled that of every single one of the Outsiders. It was the girl at whom she was yelling that made him catch his breath. First he saw the auburn curls bouncing as she turned to face her verbal attacker. Then the brown eyes full of fire as she spat her response. He stood there staring. He knew who she was. Ashley Davies…crazy lesbian extraordinaire.. He knew who she was on the surface, but in that tiny moment he forgot. It was when Tannen attacked and slapped her that he totally forgot. Ashley was unable to return the blow before Glen had grabbed Tannen from behind and pulled her off of Ashley. Becca…. His mind was so construed, and the only response he got from Ashley was a look that told him he was absolutely insane. And that she definitely didn’t need my help. It was Tannen’s boyfriend that rendered him in detention. Apparently, it is a major faux pas to grab someone else’s girlfriend. Probably even more so to break up a chick fight. As the guys were pulled apart, Glen saw Aiden from the corner of his eye. He knew that Aiden must have witnessed the whole thing. Aiden was giving him the same look that Ashley had given him without the look of contempt, and he had called him on it immediately.

“You’ve got a thing for Ashley,” He had said the next day as Glen was leaving detention. Glen was in a hurry because he was really late getting home, and he desperately didn’t want to have this conversation.

“Look, man, I don’t know what happened yesterday, okay. I just kinda lost it. She reminded me of somebody a little bit, but I don’t want to talk about it, okay. So, can we just drop it?”

Aiden had immediately agreed to drop it if Glen promised to help him get tickets from Kevin so he could surprise some chick he wanted to date. Glen had agreed, and the topic had been dropped. Now, he sat in his room thinking of her. Well, actually, he was thinking of them. Becca and Ashley.. He just sighed and rolled over in his bed.
