    Don’t be a stranger.

    My heart races the closer I get to her.  Our lips are centimeters away, frozen there, both afraid to make the final reach.

     

                There is a noise.  A key turns in the lock and the door flies open.  Spencer and I both return to our original positions, relaxed so there is no suspicion.  We look to the source of the interruption.  A tall brunette pours into the room, balancing two large boxes on top of a suitcase with a yellow grocery bag hanging from her wrist.  She drops her baggage onto the floor and stands there looking completely flustered. 

     

                “Why…the hell…do they put the room number in small print on the right hand corner, so it looks like a friggin’ page number?”  I just turn to Spencer and we both start cracking up.  We watch as the girl closes the door and takes a deep breath trying to compose herself.  One more inhale while she rotates her hands in a circular motion in front of her, then a deep exhale, “Hi.”  She walks over to me and reaches out her hand.  “I’m Danielle, you must be Ashley.”  I rise to my feet before shaking her hand.

     

                “Yes, that’s right.  It’s good to finally meet the person behind the voice.”  I had spoken to her on the phone a couple of times and we seemed to hit it off well.  I see her look over at Spencer who had stood up when I had.  “Oh, I’m sorry.  This is my friend Spencer.”  I look at Spencer and smile.

     

                “Nice to meet you, Danielle.”  They shake hands as well.

     

                “Likewise.”  She takes a deep breath in before looking around the room.  “So this is our room, huh.”  She emphasizes the word room, because it is more like a 5×5 cell.  “I wonder if it would have been architecturally possible to make it any smaller.”

     

                “Doubtful, because if it were possible; they probably would have.”  I love when Spencer tries to be funny.  We all laugh anyway though.

     

                “So are you a student here too?”

     

                “No, I’m just the hired help.” Spencer responds.

     

                “Smartie pants here, is actually going to Princeton.”

    2. *cries*…im actually tearing up…ok you are the ONLY writer who has made me cry…wtf…omg im in a stuper….lol, if they seperate then i shall honestly die…come up with something dramatic…you know like ash rushing to the air port and begging her to stay or offering to go with her…SOMETHING!!!! please i beg of thee….dont do this to me..NOT AGAIN! lol…i cant i simply cannot take the heart ache, but as ususal..AWSOME chapter, i loved…loved, loved, loved…oh and loved it…lol…post again soon, im always waiting for it!;-P

    3. well… that IS a depressing chapter. But I gotta say, i love it!! i love it cause I know you’ll come around and make it work between those 2!!! post sooon

    5. i really don’t like this new girl… don’t like her at all.. she has to go and interrupt when everything was going so FINE! and now Spencer is gone, no make her fail princeton so whe can go to Ashley’s I don’t know I want them togehter… NOW, please???

    11. As a university employee who runs a Student Centre, I LOVED that chapter.. even if the one I’m in is not the same thing you’re referring to. Ah, what to say? I just really love your writing style. I’m always so engaged by your writing! AWESOME!
