Haunting in Ohio – (Chapter: Creepy Little Library Meetings)
Spencer: You see my cousin she likes to play this game where she’ll write a word or something that makes absolutely no sense and then try and have me figure out what it means.
I said chuckling nervously. It wasn’t really a lie…only that she’s not my cousin and a ghost but the part about it making no sense was totally true. Ashley gave me a funny look. It said Spencer your weird but I like that. She then voiced her thoughts.
Ashley: Then maybe it’s not a word at all.
She said and I looked at her puzzled not knowing what she meant.
Ashley: Maybe it’s like a code or a message. Did you try unjumbling the words to see if you get something? Or maybe your cousin spelled it backwards to make it harder for you.
She said with a smile. Then realization hit me. It probably was jumbled or written backwards. It’s just like those pesky ghost to make you go through a hassle even thought it’s their afterlife they want you to save.
Spencer: Ashley you’re kind of a genius.
I said smiling and retrieving a piece of blank paper from my notebook and a pen. I then wrote the words on the paper and studied them.
Ashley: why don’t you try unjumbling them first…see what you get.
Ashley said and I did just that.
Spencer: ibellasa toravilas?
I asked skeptically looking at Ashley.
Ashley: Spencer…that’s not even a word.
She said laughing and I laughed as well. After a million attempts at unjumbling the words, I finally gave up. I blew out my breath.
Spencer: I give up. I don’t know what it means.
I said and Ashley laughed, taking the pen and paper from me.
Ashley: Alright maybe she spelled it backwards.
She said and then began putting the letters in their right place. I watched her as she concentrated on revealing whatever the hell the words meant. Her concentration faces was absolutely adorable and I couldn’t help but smile as I watched her. When she was done she scoffed.
Ashley: Your cousins a cheater. It’s not even a word, it’s a name.
She said and then showed me the paper. It read Isabella Salvatori. Just then the bell rang signaling the start of first period. Kids started filing out of the library and Ashley spoke up.
