Kyla walked in to her living room to see her older sister laughing at the television. She glanced up an saw that she was watching an episode of Still Standing.

“Hey Kyla? That reminds me of you!! Watch watch watch!” Kyla smiled as she watched her sister point, her loose curls falling over her face and her black rimmed glasses framing her face. Slightly jumping up and down.

“how you’re older than me.. Is still a mystery.” Ashley looked up at Kyla in mock hurt with her hand over her chest.

“you knw Ky? That hurt.. Right, right here.” she said, lightly tapping her chest, only to look up just as a pillow was thrown in her face.”Meany.” Kyla smiled at Ashley.

“Come on Ash! You promised you would come tonight. I have been wanting to you to hang out with my friends for a while. I just really want u to meet Selene and Mercedes.” Kyla practically begged.

“Ughh! Fine.. I’ll go Ky alright.” Ashley said.

“Really?! Oh my god! Go get ready! Go! Go! Go! We only have 30 minutes!” Kyla said, pushing the older girl toward the stairs.

Finally after 45 minutes Kyla and Ashley were driving to Selene’s apartment.

“Ok Kyla. Selene is the one you met in your class right?” Ashley asked. The nervous tone in her voice making her shake.

“Uh huh. She’s the cute one. I was hoping on hooking you two up tonight.”

“Sure you were.” Ashley mumbled. Kyla noticed her quietness and looked at Ashley.

“Ash, you have to move on. It’s been almost a year. You two haven’t talked in like six months. Even like right after you guys broke up you didn’t communicate like, a lot.” Kyla reasoned with her.

“Yeah. But I miss her Kyla. We were together for five years.”

“Yes you were, but Ash You guys started dating after high school. Both only 17, I was surprised you stayed together. Well at least your head was in the relationship, hers on the other hand… Not so much. You do recall that she was cheating the whole time right?”

“Don’t remind me Kyla.” Ashley snapped.

“Someone has to. You’re always in this fantasy of yours that she is going to come back. That she’s the same girl she was in high school, well she’s not.” Kyla said.
