“Hi” she stuck out her hand “I’m Ashley.”  She smiled and retracted her hand when no one took it.

“Oh I guess you already know me then?”

“So…” Ashley felt awkward and carefully moved around her three old friends who were just staring at her, towards Spencer who was on the couch laughing.

“Spence?”  Ashley whispered still looking at the three.

“Ash, if I were you I’d get ready.” Spencer looked at Ashley and smiled.  Before she knew it the three were shaken out of their comas and charged towards the brunette.  Aiden swept her off the couch and gave her a hug while the other two were yelling out words that no one could even understand and basically flailing their arms.

“No freakin’ way!”  This was pretty much the only thing that she could hear in all the mess.  Ashley was able to lock eyes with Spencer in the chaos, pleading for Spencer to do something.

“Okay guys…” Spencer said obviously not loud enough seeing as they were still in an uproar.  “GUYS!”  Spencer yelled and everyone turned around.  She couldn’t help but laugh at the scene before her.  Aiden had Ashley over his shoulder and Glen and Madison were holding onto each other for dear life.

Ashley tapped on the shoulder under her, “Um hey guy, do you think you could let me down now?”  Aiden gently let the girl down and Ashley sat on the small couch.  Immediately the three friends sat down pushing Spencer away so each one could get as close to Ashley as possible.

“Where have you been?!”  All three of them asked in unison.

Ashley looked into their eyes.  It was then she wished she could remember the people sitting before her.  She could tell that they just weren’t her friends but her family.  And then she looked harder at Aiden and gave him a slap.

“What was that for?” He asked smoothing his shoulder to ease the sting that was left there.

“For walking in on me and Spencer six years ago.”  Aiden looked confused and Spencer laughed.

“Look guys, there’s a lot that’s been going on.  And I really think that we should wait till everyone is here so Ashley could tell her story.”  Ashley gave Spencer a ‘thank you’ look and the three of the groaned like little children.
