Next thing she knows, Ashley is sitting in bed, watching Spencer sleep.  The girl’s eyes flutter open.  Ashley feels hope and excitement.

“Hey.”  Ashley says to the blonde.

“Hey yourself.”  Spencer is smiling.

“About last night…”  Spencer looked up at Ashley looking confused.

“What about last night?” Spencer asked.  “Ugh…I had so much to drink I don’t even remember how we got up here.”

Ashley was hurt.  “Yeah, we were pretty wasted.”

“So what about last night?”  Spencer asked, now interested at what Ashley had to say.

“Um-“ Ashley thought of a lie “you were going to tell me who your secret crush is.”  Ashley felt ashamed.

“Oh,” Spencer blushed at Ashley.

“Maybe this could turn out good for me,” she thought to herself.  “She’s gonna tell me it’s me, I just know it.”

“It’s Brenda, from English.”  Ashley felt horrible.

“Well, she is pretty hot.”  Ashley laughed.

“Ash!” Spencer laughed.  “Ash?”

“Yeah Spence?”

“Ashleyyyy…”

“What?”

“ASHLEY WAKE UP!”

Ashley was jolted from the dream looking up at a worried Spencer.  “You passed out again.”  Ashley sat up holding her head.

“I’m sorry.”  She looked apologetically at Spencer, realizing that she passed out when they were in the middle of…yeah.

“It’s okay, it sounded like you were having fun without me.”  Spencer wiggled her eyebrows and Ashley laughed.

“Actually you were there.”  Spencer looked at Ashley surprised.  Spencer was still flushed from before but not as flushed as Ashley was at that moment.

“I actually think it was a memory.”  Spencer looked at Ashley as if she knew.  “The first night we had sex?”  Ashley looked confused.

“I thought you didn’t remember that night.”

Spencer sat down next to her best friend and explained.  “That night was the night I knew I was in love with you.”

“But then why didn’t you just tell me you remembered?”

“Because I was afraid that you didn’t want me.  And I was afraid that if I told you I remembered that you would tell me it was a mistake, and I really wasn’t ready to hear that.”  Spencer sighed and got a distant look in her eye.

“So…”  Ashley shook Spencer out of her daze.

“So…”  Spencer felt a little awkward.

“I think I’m into this girl…” Ashley said looking up at Spencer who just smiled.

“Oh…who?”  Spencer moved closer to Ashley and Ashley felt Spencer’s fingers caressing her own.

“Someone you probably wouldn’t know.”  It was hard for Ashley to get out.  Her breath started to quicken and her heart was in her throat.  “I’m kind of scared though, because I think she has a lot more experience with girls than me.”  Ashley smiled at Spencer.

“I can teach you.”  Spencer brought her lips to Ashley’s as they dove into each other’s warmth.
