    Invisible – (Chapter: 2)

    “Yes, yes that’s the guy.”

“Who may I ask is calling?” She said in a bored tone.

“Spencer Carlin.” I said smiling as I heard her gulp.

“Hello?” I said waiting for an answer.

“Oh yes, yes. You’re the tennis player.”

“Yeah. Can I talk to him already?”

“Okay, please hold.” She replied as she dialed Shay’s number and connected the lines.

    “Shay Crawford speaking.” He said.

    “This is Spencer Carlin.”

“Oh, wonderful. Will you be joining us for an interview?”

“I would, but I was wondering what this is for?”

“Oh, Miss Carlin we want you on the cover of Sporty Sports.”

“Wow, I would be honored to be on your cover, but what is this interview for.”

“Imagine this, Spencer Carlin the only straight tennis player, on the cover of Sporty Sports.”

I snorted at the corny headline. “Mhm. I like it.”

“Really, cause it was my idea.” He said impressed with himself.

‘So where would be meeting at?”

“No, you’ll be meeting with one of my writes, Ashley Davies at that great café The Lane”

    “Ah, yes. She sounds familiar.”

“She’s the best writer on this magazine and also my girlfriend.”

“Eww, a straight writer, how ordinary.” I thought.

“So I’ll see her at 3.”

“Yes and I’ll give you the update on your photo shoot for your cover.”

“That would be nice. Good talking to you, Shay.”

    “Good day, Miss Carlin.”

The door blew open and once again I was sleeping.

    “Baby, you got it!”

“Got what, my pony that I’ve always wanted!” I screamed sarcastically.

“Oh shut up, Ash. You go the interview with Spencer Carlin!” He said jumping up and down.

    “Whoopty do.”

“Baby, I’m so happy.” He said walking around my desk and pulling me into a hug.

“Okay, okay enough hugging.” I said pushing him off and brushing my shirt.

“Your interview is at 3 at The Lane, be ready and look your best.”

“Yeah sure, close the door on your way out.”
