It Was Suppose to be Special – (Chapter: Five)

    **

As Paula gripped gently at Spencer’s shoulder I lowered my head letting them have their light moment. Though I didn’t spend a lot of time with Clay, I did miss him. He was the one in the family besides Spencer’s dad that actually took acceptance in me and Spencer’s relationship and even with that I respected him for a lot of things he did.

Paula smiled once again at me and I exchanged it back. If it wasn’t for her hating me the way she does…well not at this second…but the way she does, I would never have anything against her. She’s a mom and sometimes it just makes me upset because Paula is a mom and though I do love the freedom my mom has given me…sometimes I did wish she would just be there for me. What would have happened if I was hurt and in the hospital would she even come to see me? I guess from knowing my mom the way she is now, I would say no and that hurts, a lot.

    “Hey Spencer…”

So he was here to give his condolences…and through this sad time I still have some hatred towards Aiden when I know I shouldn’t.

Spencer said nothing, but nod and forced a small smile out.

He kept his hands in his pockets while he kept his eyes on Spencer…not so much on her eyes, just on her. “I…just wanted to say…I was sorry…Clay was an awesome person to be around.”

This time Spencer smiled truthfully at what Aiden said. “Thank you…”

With that he walked back out of the kitchen.

It was time for me to go, after the funeral so as to not see or be anywhere near Aiden, Kyla went home early.

    “Well…I better go.”

“Oh…um, did you want to take a little something to Kyla? A ham roll here and there?” she smiled. I missed her smile. I missed her laugh. I missed her…being with me.

“Sure…” I grabbed a plate and put a few things onto it, Spencer wrapped some foil around the plate…while her hand brushed mine, though the touch of her hand was nice the one she gave me earlier was much more.
