It Was Suppose to be Special – (Chapter: Five)

“Okay…thank you…” I held onto the plate just looking at her feeling a little awkward, but not in the stage where I just wanted to run away…I wanted to stay with her.

    “Um…I’ll walk you.”

“Just a sec.” I put the plate down and went to the living room where her family was. I could feel her following up close to see what I was going to do.

    “Mr…Mrs.…C?” I said nervously.

“Oh…hi Ashley…” he said wearily, though there was a little contentment in his voice.

    “I…I just wanted to say…how sorry I am…for…” I didn’t really finish and I really didn’t want to.

“Thank you Ashley” he hugged me gently. Surprisingly so did Paula. I nodded before I left and walked back to Spencer smiling at me.

“Okay.” I grabbed Kyla’s finger foods and lead Spencer to my car.

“Thank you for coming…” she said as I opened the door and put the food in the passenger seat.

I shook my head as I pulled out from the door. “He was a great person Spencer…very much like your dad…I’m going to miss him too”

She pulled me gently into a hug and whispered, “thank you…”

I pulled away smiling gently and nodded.

I could see her as I drove down the road and she waited until she couldn’t see me anymore so she could go inside.

It wasn’t a shock to not see Aiden before I left. I figured he probably wanted to get out of there…being it a little awkward with Spencer and all. Though I mean look at me I was still there also. I pull into my drive way wishing I didn’t see what was in my parking spot.

I grabbed the food and slammed my door in frustration walking to this familiar car. I walked up to it and motioned my finger to the ground for him to roll down his window.

“What the hell are you doing here?”

    “Can we talk?”

“No Aiden! What the hell could we talk about?”

“That you still love me!” I shook my head and stormed to the front door. I could hear the door slam and footsteps behind me as he followed violently to try and get me to listen to him
