When Spencer emerged from the shower, got dressed and made it out to the living room/kitchen she noticed immediately that the damage she had done to her apartment in her rage had been cleaned up.
Aiden stood in front of her stove making pancakes. He smiled at her when she moved further into the room and sat down at the kitchen counter. She was waiting for him to ask her what had happened. He had just come back from schmoozing clients for a week and had most likely heard from the rest of their team that no one could get in touch with her. As she watched him put pancakes on a plate for her she silently thanked whatever higher power there was out there that made her give him a spare key to her apartment.
Setting down the plate in front of her he watched Spencer till she finally picked up her fork and started to eat. He smirked to himself and put a plate together for himself and sat down next to her. They ate in silence for a few moments before Spencer finally spoke.
“She left me.” As soon as the words left her mouth Spencer thought she was going to cry again but she held it back.
“I figured it was something like that.” He said turning toward her. “I got back to the office today and Kyla told me that no one had heard from you in a few days. When I tried to ask Ashley she just shook her head and I knew.”
Spencer’s eyes became blurry again and she thought for a brief moment that her eyes must be beat red by now. “She doesn’t love me anymore, Aiden.”
“Is that what she said Spencer?” He asked wiping a tear from her cheek.
“No,” Spencer chocked out, “but if she still loved me, none of this would be happening.”
They were both lost in their own minds for awhile, Spencer trying to calm the chaos in her head and Aiden trying to find the right words to comfort his friend.
“I don’t know what happened between you and Ashley. What I do know, is that sometimes things aren’t as simple as we wish they were or even as simple as they should be.”

ahhhh! i wanna know what ash has been thinking, so i definitely can’t wait til the next chapter! sadness though! man that must be so hard to have to go to work with your ex…esp since no one but aiden and kyla know, right? ohhh awkward!

I really, really like this story. I know Ashley has her reasons for ending things with Spencer but she needs to just come clean with everyone so they can be together. I love the drama! PMS!
