He pauses as he takes her in. He notices the hot flush on her skin, the flared nostrils her now electric blue eyes. Then he could see the sparks that emanate from her as the rage in side continues to boil and he foolishly decided to stoke the fire, thinking she would finally fight back. That way he could get the data he needed, he could see if there was any progress.

“You here me Ashley?! You’re just like those filthy parents of yours. Promiscuous, hateful, hard creatures and I’m gunna break you…if it’s the last thing I do.”

“You shouldn’t underestimate me Dennison. You don’t even know what I’m capable of. Yet.”

She declared with a voice seething and dripping in venom as she focused on short-circuiting all the alarms and intercoms she could remember seeing in the building that had kept her captive since she was fourteen. The only one that she would leave alone is the one in this very room. So as not to cause suspicion.

“You don’t have anything”

“Why so sure? That is the goal here right? Get us to be little super beings so you can get us to reproduce and create your little army for the big bad Government? Are you saying that maybe…just maybe you’re failing?”

Keep him talking. That was her objective as she made a ball of electricity in her palm but covered it well with an invisible force field.

‘Just like practice’

To her observers she was just looking at her bare palm while she spat witty comments back and forth with the supposed 20 or so year old.

‘For a grown man he sure does act like a little girl’

“I’ll just have Aiden teach you a lesson”
Her growing smirk infuriated him.

‘He’s such an idiot. He’s playing right into my hands’

Gabby unknowingly brought the brunette out of her horrid musings as she pointed through the windshield and to the person in question. They had become quite good friends since Ashley had started dating the last Carlin, despite the jealousy of knowing Gabby was the closest person to Spencer.
