" Momma.." Renesme wanted to "talk to me". She still didn't like to talk. She'd rather just show you. So I bent down to her level. For 5 months she looked like an average 3 year old. She put her hands on my face and I saw it. It was me and Edward.Then it was Rosalie and Alice and I knew what she wanted.

"Edward,are you ready to go?Renesme wants to see Rose and Alice." I saw he was in a really mood and wondered why.

"Sure,Bella. Renesme do you want toknow someything?"He turned to our little,big baby.

She shook her head,excited and dazed in his eyes. He had the same if not worse affect on me.

"Merry Christmas,Renesme" We said in unison.

She smiled and I knew,she knew what was coming.Edward rose he went to the closet and came out with three big bags. I left Nessie in the middle of the bed.I took the first bag and took the gifts out. I handed one to Renesme as we stood and watched. Edward was holding onto my waist as usual,but this time he seemed nervous.To please her?She had that affect on people. As she opened it,his grip got tighter. If I was human it would have bruised.

"Pretty." Renesme answered suddnely.
Edward and I had bought her a bracelet to match the locket we had bought her last Christmas. I was glad she enjoyed it.
When she finished opening her other gifts we took her to the "main house" as we called it. Alice opened the door.Of course she saw us before we were even in the clearing. Powers,huh.I set Renesme down.She immediately ran to Jacob who sat in the corner. Of course Alice had decorated. Alice laughed and looked up.Mistletoe. Everyone stared at us. Edward looked up and couldn't help but laugh. I grabbed him by his collar and kissed him. I heard Emmett yell something but I payed no mind. Edward laughed beneath our joined lips. I let go of his collar and everyone whistled and hollered.

" Alice,why don't you do that for me?" Jasper asked jokeingly.

Alice stuck her tongue out t him and ran over to him.She repeated the motions.

"Happy?" Alice asked.

"Very!"Jasper replied.
We all laughed. Renesme seemed to ignore us all.She just sat in the corner on Jacob's lap.We all exchanged gifts.Everyone was happy.Of course,Edward gave us all cars.Alice got a Vanquish,Jasper got a Mercedes,Carlisle got a Porsche that matched Esme's,Emmett got a new Jeep,I got a Cadillac,even Jacob got a car.Not that he needed one.I hoped that would ease any tenison that still remained.For the most part everyone behaved themselves. I remebered this morning.I couldn't shake the feeling that something was brewing.Something would happen. Something would happen soon. But it confused me,wouldn't Alice see it. I would hope she would share.I tried to think about it and went to sit with my husband and daughter.My family.Edward sat next to me,our hands intertwined.Then Emmett started with his jokes on our sex life. I was hoping,even on Christmas,that it could be avoided.Guess not?

"So,when you get back home wha'cha gonna do?Read a book or do a puzzle."Emmett laughed.

I heard a growling come from Edward's chest.He was justas uncomfortable as me.I stroked his hand and whispered for him to calm down. No one else heard me but him.He sat back,less defensive.

"F.Y.I. Emmett,your not the only brother who can have fun."Edward snapped.

"Sorry bro.Jeez I didn't know you were so sensitive,Mary."Emmett laughed and so did everyone else including me.

Edward shot me a look and then looked into my eyes.His own softened and he laughed along.Renesme rose silently from Jacob's lap and made her over to Rosalie.Jacob wasn't to happy. HIm and Rosalie never resolved their issues.I did my best not to coax any situation  but sometimes his ego got the best of him. She liked to treat him like a dog. He was happy to oblidge.I didn't realize the time until I saw Renesme in Rosalie's arms,sleeping.I looked out the window.It was night.Dead night.I looked at Edward and we were thinkng the same thing.

"Goodnight everyone,thanks for everything."I whispered just loud enough for them to hear.

Edward took the bag of gifts,mostly for Nessie and threw it over his right shoulder.I swiftly and softly took Nessie from Rosalie.

I felt at home with them.Isabella Marie Cullen.Had a nice ring to it,I think.
