Masked Identity – (Chapter: Mental Preperation)

Ashley groaned because the sun was waking her. But when she saw Spencer in her arms, she smiled. She glanced at the clock, 9:48.

I guess Spencer isnt going to church, but I better wake her and see.

"Spence." Ashley slightly nudged the sleeping beauty.
"Mmm, five more minutes baby." Spencer nuzzled her head further into Ashleys shoulder.
"Spence? Were you planning on going to church?"
"No, mother wouldnt want me anyways. I’d be a disgrace to the family." Spencer mumbled into her pillow. All Ashley could understand was no. her stomach grumbled and she decided to make breakfast. She tried to get out of Spencer’s grasp but it only made her tighten it.
"Spencer, I’m just going to make us some breakfast. I’m not leaving you." spencer sighed and reluctantly let go and placed a pillow over her head to hide the sun. Ashley leaned down and kissed Spencer’s head. "Be back in a few."

She got out of bed and headed downstairs. She was looking in her cabinets for food, when she realized the only thing she had was cereal. She decided just to make her and Spencer a bowl of that. She wasnt much of a cook anyways. She made two bowls and carefully headed upstairs. when she got to her room she noticed that Spencer was now sitting up and silently crying. she quickly but carefully set the bowls down and ran over to the bed.

       "Spence, spence. What’s wrong?"
"Nothings, its just…my mom. I’m telling her today and I was just mentally preparing myself."
"Are you sure that’s what you want to do? I understand if you want to wait. Especially with telling your mom."
"No, Ash. I need to do this. I need her to know how much you mean to me. How much I need you. How much I…I…" She was interupted by her phone ringing. She went to go pick it up.

      "Hello."
       "Spencer?"
       "Yeah, dad. Whats up?"
"Nothing, I just wanted to see if you were okay"
       "Yeah, dad, I’m fine."
       "When are you coming home?"
       "I dont know. But, dad…"
       "Yes sweetie."
"Dad, I want to tell mom. today."
       "About you and Ashley?"
       "Yeah"
"Spencer, are you sure? I dont know how she will handle it."
"Yes, I’m sure. I need her to know. C-can you help me?"
"Of course, honey. Do you want Ashley to be there when you tell her?"
"Do you think she should be?"
"It might help you be stronger."
"Okay, I’ll ask her dad. I’ll be home later tonight."
       "K. love you"
       "Love ya too dad."

Spencer hung up the phone and turned to Ashley.

"Ashley, do you think you would wanna be there when I tell my mom about us?" Ashley wrapped her arms around her.
"Do you want me to be, Spence? If you do just say the word and I’ll be there."
       "P-please?"
"Of course, baby." Ashley squeezed Spencer assuringly. "What do you want to do today?"
"Do you think we could stay in and watch movies or something?"
"Sounds like fun." Ashley stood up and held her hand out. "Lets go into the living room." She walked them into the living room and popped in a random DVD. It happened to be Into the blue.
"I like this movies." Spencer said while laying down on the couch.
"Me too." Ashley said while cuddling up behind Spencer. She put her head on Spencer’s shoulder so she could see the T.V. They stayed like that for the rest of the day, just watching random movies, talking about everything and nothing, and cuddling on the couch.
