Maybe one day I'll wake up and it won't hurt so much. – (Chapter: Don't feed me violins, just run with me through all the speeding cars.)
She walked to the clock that was set an hour late. I grabbed it from her and set it two hours back. “There, now it is set two hours back.” I got close to her ear and whispered, “I promise I’ll be on time tomorrow.” I pulled back and winked.
Her smile told me she got my point. The first customer came in and I took the box of shampoo to the proper area and began to unload it. Was it totally horrible that the only thought on my mind was that I couldn’t wait to tell Ashley?
Eight hours was up before I knew it and it was time for me to go meet Ashley in the park. As I made my way to the park I called Ashley to ask where in the park she was. She told me she was at the play ground. I laughed and walked there to see her on the swing set. I walked up behind her and began to push her.
“You’ll never believe the day I had.” I began.
“Oh yeah” She said asking me for more information.
“Yeah” I wasn’t quite sure how to start the story. I didn’t even know how. How was I supposed to tell the girl I had been in love with for three years that I was planning to fuck my boss? I wasn’t worried that she would get jealous. I just couldn’t bring myself to do it. “Jessica was in a bad mood. So I’ve gotta work an extra hour tomorrow.”
“Oh my gosh that’s ridiculous. So you won’t be off till like…6. That sucks.” She said. She was being way too over dramatic.
“Actually, I just have to go in an hour early.”
“The store doesn’t even open that early Spence.” She knew I was lying…but I couldn’t tell her the truth. The worst part was I didn’t know why I couldn’t tell her the truth.
“Yeah I know. I’m taking inventory.”
I sat in the swing set next to her and just stared at the ground. We stayed silent the rest of the night. She knew I was lying and she hated it. I knew I was lying to her and I hated it as well. Why were things always so damn complicated with her?

I like it. I really like it. Your off to a great start with this story. PMS
What was the point in Spencer lying? Ashley is screwing Aiden, Spencer shouldn’t feel uncomfortable talking about her life just because she’s scared to tell Ashley how she feels about her. Goodness grief. People make life so complicated when it doesn’t have to be. Great start! PMS!
