“It’s too late, Spencer.”
“For us, it’s never too late.” I grab her face and pull her into me. I kiss her with everything I have and everything I ever will be. In this kiss I feel her release her anger, her pain, her abandonment, and her sadness in ways that words could not. My tongue demands entry and she acknowledges. It is a battle for control which I willingly forfeit. When I feel her arms around my neck I drop mine to her waist, pulling her closer as I lean her against the SUV. I can’t describe the feelings this brings back. Mouth to mouth, breast to breast, pelvis to pelvis, we are complete again.
All good things must come to an end though. She breaks the kiss and pushes against my shoulders putting distance between our bodies. She puts her hand to her brow shading her eyes from me. This time it is her turn to cry. “I can’t do this.”
“Please Ashley, we can make this work. If you give me the chance, I will spend the rest of my life making up for my mistakes.”
“You had your chance; several times. I have to go.” Her tears are flowing freely and she attempts to turn and get in the vehicle.
“No!” I grab her arms and hold on to keep her from fleeing. “I am not going to let you go. I will fight for you. I will do whatever it takes to get you back, because I love you and I know that you still love me.” She shrugs her arms out of my grip.
“You know nothing!” Her anger resurfaces and she pushes me again, this time with intent to hurt not just to create distance. “You don’t know what it feels like, to think that I never loved you.” She pushes me again, following as I take a step back to absorb the blow. “You don’t know what it feels like to believe you were never good enough.” Another shove. “You don’t know what it feels like to think that seven years of your life were an illusion.” She begins crying through her outbursts and pushes me again. I see her hesitate and I seize the opportunity to lunge toward her, wrapping my arms around her tightly. She fights. She tries to free herself, but I hold on.

damn. you do realize you write one the best if not the best story out there. goodness. wow i wonder if ashley really pulled the same stunt or if she had a reason. all i know is i am happy what you said last time was a joke and that you are still going strong with this story. gosh i need another update. i love it.

OH MY GOOOOOOOSSSSHHHHHH!!!! I went from ‘Yeah! You go Ashley! You tell her how it felt!” to “WOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!” @ Ashley giving in to “O_M_G she LEFT?!?! Daaayyuuummmm, well, *sigh* I can’t blame her.” On one hand I’m glad Spencer finally knows the pain she put Ashley through, but I hope that they can work things out. I LOVE THIS FIC!!!
wow. that entry totally exceeded my expectations. this is not a simple melodrama fan fiction. relatively speaking this high quality drama with a smart twist. did not see that one coming. as i said before please post at merciful intervals of time =) great job.
Geez… I, like many others, am completely sucked into this tale… like a good Shakespeare, you leave us hanging.. but PLEASE we need more!! This is brilliant fanfic writing, much kudos!
This fic is very emotional. AT first i was jumping up and down in my head and now my shoulders drop and a frown comes across my face. Spencer deserved being left alone, that much is certain but i still want Spashley. pms.
