There was a knock at the door and a smiling Ashley walked through bearing gifts in the form of strawberry smoothies.
“Thought you could use one after a day like today,” the brunette said.
“You know me so well,” Spencer replied, forcing a smile onto her face.
“How’s the homework coming?”
“It’s not.”
“Well, I could leave you alone if you want…you know, give you a chance to work on it.”
“No, stay! At least stay until we finish these smoothies.”
“Deal.”
“Good,” Spencer said, making room for Ashley on the bed.
‘So, what happened with you and Linds today? I mean, you guys seemed really pissed at each other and it kinda came out of nowhere.”
“We just got in a fight over Aiden. I think she’s leading him on, she swears she’s not. No big deal.”
“You think she’s leading Aiden on?”
“Let’s not talk about that, actually,” Spencer said quickly, “How did it go today for you? Avoiding Erin and all?”
“Oh, man. That girl is insane. She tried to talk to me at least twice like nothing had ever happened. When that didn’t work, she went all Erin Brockovich and started leaving me notes in my locker about how her mom made her lie about everything and she wanted no part of it and all this crap. I don’t know…”
“Wow, she must really like you.”
“No, she really likes a challenge and she knows that with the way things are now, she doesn’t have a chance.”
“As long as she doesn’t try to steal you away from me again, it doesn’t really matter…does it?”
“No, I guess not,” Ashley said, leaning in for a kiss.

Spencer had just finished up the last of her homework. She threw herself into her pillows, silently congratulating herself on a job well…finished. Ashley had left hours ago, leaving Spencer with an uneasy feeling. Of course she was always happy to see Ashley, always happy to kiss her and be with her, but lately things had gotten a bit boring and she didn’t know how to fix it.
The blonde heard a soft tap at her door.
“Come in!” she yelled, unburying herself from her pillows.
Lindsay walked in, a serious expression on her face.
“What’s wrong?” Spencer asked nervously, fearing that something horrible had happened.
“Nothing’s wrong…I just needed to see you…talk to you.”
“Uh, ok. What’s up?”
“I wanted to stand my ground, you know? I wanted to be the girl who didn’t let herself be taken advantage of and who could walk away from potential heartbreak without a second thought. I thought I could be that person…and I was wrong.”
Spencer said nothing, her face telling Lindsay to continue.
“I wish that I was in a different position. I would like for this to be a committed effort on both of our parts, but I realize that for right now, it’ll just be on mine. I’m not in a place where I can deny you in any form or in any way or I guess just not at all. I can’t do it. I want to be stronger, but I’m not. I want to be with you. And if that’s for a night or for an hour or forever, then I’ll take it…just for that chance.”
Spencer lowered her head, more sure than ever of what she had to do.

What the fuck?! What the fuck?! What the fuck?! Aaaaaaah, this is past pissing me off. At this point I want Ashley to find out and beat some muthafuckin ass-starting with Lindsay, and ending with Spencer. This is getting ridiculous. Spencer is gonna throw away everything, if she fucks with Lindsay, Ashley is gonna be out of her life, completely. And I don’t think she wants that. If she wants to do an eye-for-an-eye with the cheating, I still want AShley to find out. Spencer is wrong, going behind Ash’s back, at least Ashley told her about Erin right afterwards, shit. And Lindsay is a bitch, I hate her, I wouldn’t hate her so much if she wasn’t friends with both Spencer AND Ashley, but she is smiling in Ash’s face, and going behind her back chasing her girl. At this point Spencer either needs to cut Lindsay out completely or ASh needs to catch them and get to the ass whuppin. Damn, this was a long review, but Im pissed at Spencer.
Ok…WHAT is going on here!! This Lindsey girl just needs to back off!! And Spencer needs to make up her mind…boring? Since when is Ashley Davies boring?? Maybe Spencer is the one that needs to spice things up…and definitely NOT with Lindsey! Get her away please!! Great story and its good to have you back (I know you haven’t been gone all that long) but we missed your story! So post real soon!!
Spencer needs to do what she has to do. Hook Lindsay up with Erin. Yup. Most def.
did you write this from your hospital bed and decide to do the same to me? wow! i am more sure than ever that i have nooooo idea what she is going to do! and worse im not sure what i want her to do! screw it…make Spencer straight and ditch’em both for Aiden lol!
I’m pretty convinced that reading SON fanfic is destined to leave me traumatised.. and in search of chocolate comfort foods.. and when I yelled out “OH NO SHE DIDN’T!” at Spencer’s proposition, I realised how badly that phrase sounds with an Australian accent.. oh well.. I love the writing, and story is tops, I’ll keep with it, and just make sure I stock up on chocolate ice cream.
