Nothing But Trouble – (Chapter: Two- Not So Sunny)
The patrol car parked just outside the entrance of the brightly lit police station. Spencer, scooted closer to the door, prepping to exit the vehicle and go through the annoyingly long process of mug shots and all of that other good stuff. Moving around to the back door of the car the officer opened it, assisting her out of the vehicle and walking her inside. “Well it was nice seeing you.” Spencer spoke, smirking slyly as the officer shot her a chastising look before leaving her handcuffed to a chair under the supervision of a new officer.
“You’ve been busy.” Greeted the new officer behind the wooden desk in front of her. This one was female, but still fairly masculine with broad shoulders and short dark hair. Spencer shrugged a bit, relaxed despite the uncomfortable position she had been forced into, “I was. Until I was so rudely interrupted.” The smile widened on her lips, despite the fact the woman before her didn’t seem to appreciate her sense of humor.
Spencer had a good reason to not be all that concerned about her situation. As unfair of a reality that it was, pretty blonde white girls never stayed in jail long. The Los Angeles prison system was so overcrowded that she hardly ever ended up staying longer than a week. So, as the dark haired woman across from her droned on and on about her rights, consequences for her actions, and other boring things of that matter she found her mind wandering.
One of her favorite ways to pass the time she spent in prison was to eavesdrop on different conversations until she found one suitably interesting for her needs. After a while she settled on the voice of some woman who was complaining about her car getting stolen. She didn’t bother to turn her head in the direction of the voice, content just listening in.
“Look, I am telling you, I turned my back for a second!” The girl exclaimed, obviously frustrated by the officer writing down her story.
“Why would you leave a car alone with the keys in ignition?” The man inquired, suspicious of her story.
“How many times do I have to repeat myself. I went to the gas station. I drove away. I noticed my gas cap was still open. I got out to close it. Next thing I know the front door is shutting and someone is driving off in my lexus.” Her flustered tone caused Spencer to smirk as she resisted the urge to glance over and see what she looked like.
“Please lower your voice Miss D-“ Spencer’s attention was diverted as she noticed she was being unattached from the chair and walked towards the room where the mug shots were taken.

Spencer the convict and Ashley the rescuer. You’ve written their characters in a totally different light, foreshadowing an impassioned conflict between the ex-lovers will soon follow. Compelling story. PMS
