Nowheresville – (Chapter: Long Time No See: Chapter 13)

    Ashley’s POV
I was hiding in the bushes along the forest surrounding the creek. Sitting on a mossy rock I decide that since the sun’s coming up I should call Spencer. Spencer! Spencer wake up! Go to the creek! It’s important! You must go to the creek! I send this out to her figuring that since she’s asleep it will be like subliminal messaging. She won’t know I told her to go she’ll just wake up and have this urge to go. About 20 minutes passed and I heard a twig snap behind me and the top of the slope. Slowly footsteps came down the slope close enough for me to see who it was. If it wasn’t for her eyes which were gray I wouldn’t have known it was Spencer. She was wearing all black, these killer steel toed boots, her hair had black streaks in it, and curves like you wouldn’t believe. She looked so different. I hope everything else was the same.

"Who’s over there?" She says to a random direction. She looks right at me for a second and turns back. I watch her go sit on the big rock and take her shoes and socks off. She takes out a map and a crystal. She swings the crystal in circles over the map as it slows drops and the circles get smaller. The crystal falls on the map and she lets out a gasp.

"No, no, she can’t be here! There’s no way! I’ve searched for months and it’s saying she’s like right behind me!" Spencer exclaims standing up and spinning in circles looking through the trees. I slowly creep out of the trees and wait until she has her back to me and come out and put my hands over her eyes. She reaches back and grabs my arm in preparation to flip me.

"Spencer wait!" I say scared of being dropped by her. She spins around still holding my arm. Tears start flowing from her eyes.

"Ashley? Is it really you?" she says like she’s forgotten about me.

"Yea Spence. It’s me but I’m not so sure you’re you. You look so different." I say as her eyes turn blue, electric blue.

Crying she puts her hands up to my face tracing my features stopping on my lips. She takes her hands down to my waist pulling me into a needy, desperate hug.

"I never thought I’d see you again. I scried the whole country! I was beginning to give up hope" She says squeezing me tight.
"Spence, honey, I’m really really happy to see you to but I won’t be able to if you strangle me." I say not wanting her to let go. Taking both of her hands in mine I feel sparks go through me just like the first time we came here.
"What happened to you? You look so different!" I say taking in the sight of her again.
"After they took you I just got depressed. I started wearing black in mourning for you. I practiced my powers. Studied. Made tornadoes, long story. Pinned Aiden, pushed Glen down the steps, oh and they’re skipping me up to 9th grade when school starts again." she says.
"Well, I resisted brainwashing, electrocuted people, tapped into a super computer, made a plan to escape but my mom showed up. So we got here and I knew I couldn’t stay away from you for much longer. Now, tell me about the tornado." I say as we sit down on the rock.
"Well I was at recess and Aiden came over to me and started asking about you. Well I got so mad, I couldn’t handle thinking about it. I got up and pushed him to the ground. I don’t know what I would have done if I hadn’t come to my senses. So I ran to the bathroom and when I came out everyone was screaming. I saw the tornado and realized I was the one controlling it. So I used it to write your name in the basketball tar. The school is to broke to get it fixed and they don’t know it was me so they now have a tribute to you." Spence says.
"Wow, thank you!" I say taking her hand again.
    "I really missed you, Spence."
"I missed you more!" Spence says as she leans over and starts to kiss me.
