“Aiden that’s awesome” she told me

“yeah…have um…have you seen Ashley?” I asked

“briefly…” she said “…she didn’t want to talk to me really…” she told me

“well…can you blame her?”

“look I know me just leaving was wrong…” she said

“no…Spence I don’t even think it’s the fact you left without telling her anymore, I think it’s the fact you planned it after her dad died…nearly right after…what you did was a shady move…you just have to earn your street cred back…” I told her being serious but still smiling a little trying to make her feel better

“she wont talk to me Aiden…and she said she was with someone…”

‘yeah…Brooke…” I told her

“Brooke? Her like college roommate?” she asked surprised

“yep…they started dating after they won NCAA championships their senior year…” I told her

“I never thought they would um…date or anything…”

“and Ashley never thought you guys would breakup, but hey…surprise, surprise” I said

“yeah…well I just came by to say hi…so I’ll talk to you later” she told me

“yeah lets get lunch sometime or something….” I told her

I actually went to bed early that night, then I went over to Ashley’s early in the morning to discuss the label…I got to her house at about nine thirty in the morning…I knocked on the door and Ashley answered it wrapped in a blanket

“I mean…am I overdressed?” I asked her laughing

“shit…I forgot you were coming over…um…come in, I’m gonna put some clothes on…” she said blushing then she ran upstairs and I just went into her living room and set my stuff around the table that had probably every issue of rolling stone magazine on it from the past two years…twenty four issues. “hey…” Ashley said coming back down and sitting on the couch

“nice to see you in some clothes…” I told her “…Brooke stay over last night?”

“guess who I got a visit from last night…” I asked her
