“don’t you think that’s being a little harsh?”

“Aiden…who’s side are you on? I mean…she left me, I didn’t leave her…and now I’m happy and I love Brooke”

“you just don’t want to have anything to do with her?’

“no…” she told me “…plus don’t we have work to do?”

“uh yeah…we need to say something for the label…”

“like what?” she asked

“well…why music? Like why do you want to open your own label? Why can’t you just work for another one?”

“because labels today look for noise…not music, I mean it’s the fact people just like everyone else can pick up an instrument and make sense of this world…I want to find bands that mean something, bands that can change peoples lives like music did for me.” She told me

“see…that’s what we need, the passion Ashley…” I told her then Brooke came downstairs running her fingers through her hair

“hey Aiden…” she said

“morning B…” I said to her as she came by and kissed Ashley then she went into the kitchen “so what’s with you two? Taking any steps further?” I asked her

“what do you mean?” she asked

“you’ve been together two years…I mean maybe moving in or proposing…” I said to her

“um…yeah marriage is a little far off…” she told me

“why? You have a gorgeous girlfriend…why not just get engaged?” I asked

“it’s more complicated…”

“have you even thought about it?” I asked her

“I’d be lying if I said I didn’t…” she told me

Aiden was over a few hours, then he left and Brooke went to work…so I was home to figure out stuff with my record label…

I decided it’d be a good idea to go to the actual label itself…when I got there I looked around and I was sitting in my future office then I heard a knock on the door and I looked up “what do you want?” I asked her

“you figure out that I’m not giving up?” she asked

“you should…” I told her “…you’re fighting for a lost cause…” I said

“why can’t we just…start over? Please Ashley…” she begged

“Spencer…seriously…”

“what if I explained why I left?” she asked me
