Point of no Return – (Chapter: 1)

She introduced herself. Again. Ashley’s mum was never interested in Ashley’s friends. She’d had so many in the past. Spencer was told to go on up to Ashley’s room and her mun dissapeared towards to pool area outside.
Slowly Spencer assended the stairs to Ashley’s room. She could her loud drum and bass music coming from her room.
What would Ashley be doing in her room? Would she be interrupting? What should she say? Should she knock?

She knocked. There was no reply. The music was too loud. She stood outside for a few more moments, then knocked louder. There was still no answer. Was she even in there? The track was coming to an end. Seizing the oppertunity she knocked again and this time was heard. Ashley called from inside ‘come in’, so she did and closed the door behind her.

Ashley was laid on her bed with a book. It was the biography of some rock star or other. Spencer recognised the name but couldn’t for the life of her have told you any of their songs. The book, Spencer noticed, was upside down. She crossed the room and Ashley glanced up. When she saw it was Spencer a broad grin cracked her face.
She coyly said ‘I was just thinking about you’ as she threw the book down, not caring where it landed and sat up, cross-legged on the bed. Spencer sat opposite at a loss as to what to say, the flirting again.
A beat later she replied, rather lamely with ‘oh really?!!’ and a twitch of her eyebrows. Ashley sniggered but Spencer sighed.
Concerned Ashley took Spencer’s hands. ‘What’s the matter?’ rubbing her thumb over the back of Spencer’s hands in small, comforting, circles.
Looking into Ashley’s eyes she could see the concern, and something which scared her.
Looking down for fear of losing it completely, and motioning to their hands, clasped together, ‘This’ she said.

Ashley’s hands withdrew, her eyes closing up and her warmth leaving her. Her blood had run cold.
Spencer rushed to comfort her. Looking for Ashley’s eyes, trying to find some point of contact, she put a hand on each of Ashley’s knee’s, but Ashley’s chin was on her chest, looking down, trying not to let the tears fall, racking her brain for a way out of this, wondering how she could have let get herself into this mess, why hadn’t she been more careful with her feelings, she’d gone too far, scared her away, and <I thought Spencer was different>.

‘Ash’ Spencer whispered. ‘Ash’ she tried again. Ashley sniffed and started to lift her head. Finally deciding to take some positive action before all was lost she slowly slid her hands up Ashley’s thighs to her hips, her thumbs grazing the inside of her legs and leaving a hot, pricking, trail of goosebumps behind, as well as a sudden moistness between her legs. Ashley’s breath hitched and she finally dared to look into Spencer’s eyes.
Spencer smiled, slow and reassuring. Her head moving closer and closer until she was almost kneeling infront of Ashley, lifting one of her hands she brushed some of Ashley’s hair behind her ear, and resting it on Ashley’s cheek she used her hand to guide her head toward Ashley’s lips, never taking her eyes of the other girls mouth.
Ashley looked at her, with a mixture of amazment and cutiosity.
Slowly, almost painfully so, Spencer’s head bobbed over to Ashley’s who’s mouth was slightly open, unconsciously her tongue darted out between those pink lips to wet them, and before her tongue could return, Spencer’s lips were on hers.
Instantly she felt like she was on fire. She couldn’t breathe and her head felt heavy. Closing her eyes she fell deeper into the kiss.
She could feel Spencer’s getting more into the kiss too. She pressed her lips down and then pulled away ending the kiss, not sure where this would leave them. She cared majorly for this girl, but she didn’t want to be some experiment. Nor did she want to lose this friendship.
    One think was for certain.
They were past the point of no return.
