Point of no Return – (Chapter: 2)

Instantly she felt like she was on fire. She couldn’t breathe and her head felt heavy. Closing her eyes she fell deeper into the kiss.
She could feel Spencer’s getting more into the kiss too. She pressed her lips down and then pulled away ending the kiss, not sure where this would leave them.

Ashley pulled away, holding Spencer at arm’s length. Her heart jumped at the sight of Spencer looking like she did: her eye’s were dark and kinda glazed over, strands of her hair hung over her face and her lips were deep red. She was smiling to herself, looking like the cat that got the cream. She was also panting. Ashley had a feeling she was looking in the same state. She couldn’t take her eyes of Spencer’s lips, wanting more than anything to catch that pink tongue between her teeth and…no! She had to keep her head. She and Spencer needed to talk. Properly. What brought this on? Did Spencer have an arguement with her mother? Was this all just to get back at her?
Spencer was watching her with curiosity, Ashley hadn’t taken her gaze off her lips so she leaned forward, resting her forhead on Ashley’s and breathing in her warm scent. She licked her lips, licking Ashley’s at the same time. She felt Ashley’s breath catch and her mouth opened slightly.
Regaining her composure, Ashley pulled back again. Hurt and worry flashed over Spencer’s eyes, both feeling kinda foolish.
Shuffling round on the bed, Ashley laid down looking at the ceiling. Taking a deep breath she askes Spencer ‘Why are you doing this?’
Spencer lays down too. Looking at the ceiling, Spencer thinks long and hard. What should she say? ‘I have a huge crush on you’? ‘I want to date you’?
"I…I don’t know…I.." Spencer tried to put into words how she was feeling. She wasn’t sure there were words for it, and if there were, well it’s not exactly what they teach in Sunday school is it?!
Ashley sat up and spun her legs round off the bed. Elbows on her knees and head in her hands. The window in front of her creating a beautiful shillouette in Spencer’s eyes. How could she have hurt this …angel already?
"…hey…I didn’t mean…Ash!" Spencer tried to get Ashley’s attention but she wasn’t moving.
Spencer streched out her hand and rested it on Ashley’s waist. She pushed her thumb up, under the top Ashley was wearing, she rubbed hot circles on Ashley’s skin. "Ash, come here"
Without turning round or looking at her Ashley laid back down on the bed. Spencer could see the tears in her eyes, although Ashley wouldn’t let them fall.
Spencer’s arm was now under Ashley’s body so Spencer pulled herself closer and propped herself up, looking over the girl in her arms.
"I didn’t mean I didn’t know why I was doing this, I know exactly why, I just can’t explain why."
Spencer brushed some hair from Ashley’s face and kissed her cheek.
Ashley never took her eyes of the girl above her, looking, almost in disbelief.
"Ash, you make me feel like I can do anything. I seriously would do *anything* for you. You have this … amazing personality. I think about you when I’m not with you and when I’m with you I can’t think at all." (Ashley let out a small laugh at this point)
"We’ve been flirting quite a lot…*You’ve* been flirting quite a lot, and I can’t deal with that anymore, unless it’s going somewhere" Spencer twiched an eyebrow.
Ashley didn’t know what to say. Her heart soared at the words, how could she tell Spencer how she felt? Were there words for it?
"I…" Then she smiled at Spencer, knowing how she felt now about the lack of words earlier. Funnily, seeing Ashley smile gave Spencer the exact same feeling that Ashley was trying to explain to her.
There wasn’t anything left to say, there smiles said it all.
Slowley Spencer dipped her head down towards Ashley’s. Her hair like a curtain around them. Ashley realised that this was the third time Spencer had initiated a kiss.
Rolling them both over and never breaking lip contact, Ashley straddled Spencer. She knew this girl’s every look, every nuance in her words, her personality and that filled her with pride and possesiveness. But the thought of knowing this girl. *Really* knowing. Well *that* was completely overwhelming.
