    ASHLEY’S P.O.V.

    I’m here alone, in my room, just crying. I can’t be gay, I don’t remember when this happened. It can’t happen. And even if I was, I’d never have a chance with Spencer. She’s gonna be with that doofus Timmy, so then I definitely won’t have a chance. Plus, she SO not gay, she’s always talking about stupid boys. I hear a knock on my door. I hurry and wipe my eyes.

    Ashley: “Come in.” My door opens, and it’s Spencer. “I told you, you don’t have to knock.” I say with a tearful chuckle. But I am glad she knocked. I don’t want her seeing me crying. Especially over something I don’t want her to know about…yet.

    Spencer: “Are you ok?”

    Ashley: “I’m fine, perfect.” she nods.

    Spencer: “I don’t believe you.”

    Ashley: “Don’t, I don’t care.”

    Spencer: “Were you crying?”

    Ashley: “No.” I say quickly.

    Spencer: “Well, since you obviously don’t trust me enough to tell me what’s wrong-” I cut her off.

    Ashley: “Spencer I do-” she cuts me off.

    Spencer: “Whatever.” she says quickly. “I just came up here to see if…do you…want to sleep in my room tonight?” she asks hesitantly. Should I?

    I guess I should, because, here I am in her room. She dropped the conversation that I dread talking to her about. I guess I’m kind of accepting it now though…‘cause Spencer…she’s looking really hot right now. I’m feeling a little better, even though she’s talking my ear off about that dimwit Timmy. We’re sitting in her bed, leaning up against her headboard.

    Spencer: “Crap!” she mumbled.

    Ashley: “What’s wrong?”

    Spencer: “What if he wants to kiss me? Like, on the lips? It would be my first kiss and I might be bad at it.” Stupid Timmy gets her first kiss! Unless…Light Bulb!!!

    Ashley: “Well…you know Spence…you could practice.” I, AM A GENIUS!!!

    Spencer: “I’ve already done that, on my arm. Remember the hickeys?” I chuckle, remembering how horrible she was at hiding the hickeys on her arm, then her parents saw them and freaked out.

    Ashley: “But…you could practice with a person.” I say suggestively. She gives me a quizzical look.

    Spencer: “You don’t mean you…do you?” she asks, looking skeptical, but at the same time…intrigued.
