"It won’t hurt just to read it,” Matthew said. “I promise you don’t want to lose this opportunity."
Spencer reluctantly took it from his hands.
"I’ll be seeing you soon, Spencer," he smiled backing away. "Cute kid," he added before turning around and walking to his car. Spencer stared after him, watching as he got into a white BMW. She made a mental note of his license plate number, just in case.
"Mommy, what’s that?" Sammy asked, pointing to the envelope in her mother’s hand.
"I don’t know, sweety."
"Open," Sammy reached for it.
"Not now. We gotta get home before all the ice cream melts."
Spencer buckled Sammy into the car seat in the back, then hopped inside the car herself. She tossed the envelope into the passenger seat. As she drove home, her eyes glanced at it repeatedly, debating whether to open it. Curiosity urged her to rip it open now. Uncertainty prevented her from doing it. Spencer decided to hold off on unveiling the contents of the envelope. Grocery shopping had taken much longer than expected. It was already late morning, and she had to be at Ashley’s penthouse soon. The envelope would have to wait.

"Hey, Spence," George’s eyes lit up as Spencer walked into the lobby of Ashley’s penthouse, Sammy in tow.
"And who do we have here?" He looked over his desk, down at the little girl clutching her mother’s pant leg.
"George, this is my daughter, Sammy. Sammy this is George. Say hi."
Sammy whispered a "hi," then buried head behind her mother’s leg.
"I’m sorry, she’s a little shy in front of new people," Spencer explained.
"It’s okay," George said. "I remember when I used to have some of my own. I wish they had been shy and quiet. I probably wouldn’t have so many grey hairs."
Spencer chuckled, "Women like grey hairs George. It shows…wisdom, sophistication–"
"Old age," George said.
"Well, I think it makes you look handsome."
"Really?" George smiled.
"Oh yeah. I’m sure your wife has to fight the women off you."
George’s smile turned playfully cocky, "Well, I don’t like to brag…"
Spencer laughed as she pried Sammy’s arms from her leg to hold her hand.
"I’m heading up," she called back to George as she walked towards the elevator.

Ugh! It’s never enough!! I’m addicted and they came so close but are still so far!! Excellent update. I love how Sammy is warming to Ash but only after pulling out her hair, that made me laugh as did Ash sitting in the tiny chair ;0) BUT Spencer needs to talk to someone and who better to kick ass than Ashley D?!?!

Wow. This story is awesome. You are a fantastic writer. Usually I don’t leave comments, I know it’s really bad but your story is so good that I just have to. I’m so glad that Spencer gets to see a different side to Ashley. So when can we get a Ashley and Carmen meeting? Either way, I can’t wait for more.
Aghhhhh! Spencer first the creepy guy that wants something for money. Who sent him? Second Carmen fourteen phone calls Really!!! I love that Ash is trying to show spencer a different side of her. Plus she got Spencer to feel all up on her in the kitchen.( GO Ash ). Spencer needs to talk to someone and soon. I love this story Post soon

oh man that was excellent. I think they’ve taken at least a baby step with each other. it was great how ash was all prepared to have sammy over and I knew that was why sammy was acting that way. spence should open up to ash and I can’t wait to see what’s in the envelope. awesome job, pms please!!
