The Encounter
Edward POV
About a month passed and Jake was almost done with filming and the movie coming to an end. My time on set had been over for a while now, but Bella and I constantly stopped by to support him and see our friends. She kept on nagging me for the past two days that she had something important to tell me, but kept teasing me and putting it off. It was literally driving me fucking crazy, but she was so damn adorable about it all that I found it hard to be mad at her.
The stuff about Emmett never got brought back up again since that day, so we just assumed things got figured out or he let it go. Either way I was still curious. Emmett was my best friend and I thought it to be fair I knew if something was going on and if he was keeping secrets. Of course bringing it up would be extremely difficult, but it was starting to even bother me not knowing. I honestly had completely forgotten our promise to Jake about saying anything in the mix of trying to figure it all out myself.
Bella was busy chatting it up with Alice as usual and I walked over to where Emmett was stuffing his face at the food table. "Hows it going?" I smiled, keeping the conversation normal.
"Food as always!" He grinned talking with his mouth full and still trying to fit more food inside. I couldn't help but laugh.
"You got a minute to talk?" I kept my tone light and friendly so it didn't give him the wrong impression. He nodded and I motioned in the direction of his trailer.
Once inside, he sat down still eating while I stood there trying to figure out how to start this conversation. Why did it bother me so much that I didn't know? Or did I already know and was just trying to dig for something that wasn't there to make myself happy?
"I wanna talk to you about something, but I don't want you to freak out or anything. Just hear me out." I laughed at the look on his face.
"How do you expect me not to freak out, when you bring it up like that?" He asked.
