Arthur saw the pained look on Spencer’s face, and Paula reached out to her, but Spencer shook her head. Blue eyes filled with tears.
“I made up a place in the den for you, Ashley,” said Arthur and Ashley nodded.
“Thanks, I just kinna wanna be alone…,”
“Sure, of course. There is food in the fridge if you get hungry,” offered Paula and Arthur nodded. Suddenly they were acting like a family unit again, and it felt wonderful.
“Thanks,” said Ashley, her dark eyes devoid of emotion now, trudging off into the den.
When she was out of ear shot, Arthur pulled Paula and Spencer into the secluded kitchen, “They found him, the husband. So Ashley is safe, her father didn’t seem to care where she stayed.”
“He wouldn’t,” spat Spencer, arms crossed over her chest, angry that this was happening at all to Ashley. Why had she pushed her away? The gesture was too much for Spencer to handle.
“He’s not much of a father from what Ashley told me. We can’t exactly keep her here with us,” added Paula.
“Why not?” asked Arthur, “We took in Clay, this girl’s family isn’t much better…,”
“Yeah,” interjected Spencer, bright eyes pleading with her father to plead their cause.
“No, out of the question. Clay was an orphan, this girl has a family,” stated Paula. Spencer said nothing, just looking down at the floor of the kitchen, and Arthur touched her shoulder gently.
“She’s right, Ash has a family,” said Spencer with some reluctance.
“I’m not saying that out of spite, I’m just being realistic,” added Paula, and Arthur sighed.
“Let’s go to bed, we can discuss this in the morning.”

“Hi, I’m trying to reach the Outreach Program’s main office?” asked Ashley into the phone, hands shaking as the man connected her to an office in Paris.
“Oui? Le Office de Program Outreach,” the voice at the other end of the phone told her.
“Do you speak English?”
“Oui, I do. How might I help you today?”

Im assuming you haven’t been on the SpencerAshley forum, that’s where I read most of my SoN fiction.This story is incredible, I have been on the edge of my seat, since I first started reading it. It glad Spencer put her foot down, and let everyone she is gay and is with Ashley.Now Im curious as to who this Drew is, and what is going to happen with Ashley now.
