South Of Nowhere – 2.14 – Things Meant To Be
Wednesday morning, waiting room of an OR, Arthur, Paula, Clay, and Spencer all wait for news on Glen’s operation. Time ticks by ever so slowly. Clay reads his advanced English assignment Spencer just sits with her thoughts. Simmering, waiting, wanting to be at school, where she can see Ashley in an hour an a half for lunch, touch her hand, or even be as bold as kiss her lips if she wants too.
Tuesday had been a rough day at school. The teasing about their new relationship had been one upped by Madison, calling out ‘Lesbian Lovers’ over the din of the crowd at lunch time.
“Is this what you want?” Ashley’d asked her, letting go of her hand, waving at the snickers and the giggles behind cupped hands.
“What? Ignore them! I’m getting kinna good at it.” Spencer admitted. Though she didn’t admit that a few of her teachers were giving her odd looks during class, and one teacher had refused to pair her up with another girl during Chem Lab.
“It’s not going to get any easier.” Ashley stated all the things that Paula had said were on her mind. How was Spencer’s family going to get back together, if Spencer was now an outcast with them?
“Ok. You are like, a politician! You waffle back and forth! That’s it, where is the nearest iHop? I’m going to go get a big stack of waffles for you, how would you like that?” Spencer asked comically and Ashley looked at her oddly, then broke out into laughter.
“Ok, I’m being silly again, aren’t I? I’ve never had a girlfriend in school before. I’m getting used to this too, ok?”
“Fine.” Spencer answered, flipping back her hair. “Hey, where is Aiden?” Ashley shrugged.
“Don’t know, might be sick.”
“He’s got a game tonight.” Spencer told her, slowly letting her hand creep back to capture Ashley’s hand.
“You’d know this how?” Jealousy in Ashley’s voice.
“My brother is counting the number of games he’s missing.”

Tell your wife she is a smart cookie!! Hell I dare you to write S4 and make Tina go through hell and then some!!!! Ashley and Spencer are soooo adorable together, they remind me of my daugther and her girlfriend!!! Now to make me happy…lets see..ahhh!!! Do what you do best. Bring the drama and the happiness. Oh yeah and never break up Spence and Ash. Hope thats not asking to much!
I really like this story but it might be nicer if Madison disappeared, Aiden is too good for her. Was it Ashley’s mom on the phone or is that just too obvious? Now I’m off to read The Girls Next Door

Woah woah woah…the first thing that stuck out in my mind was the blood types. Now I don’t know if you put thought into the blood types or if they are random, so I’m not gonna EVEN say what stood out about them. All I gotta say is, if this is going where it looks like it’s going, then HOLY SHIT. Moving on…woah, what’s up with Ashley and that call? I’m definitely intrigued! And LMAO @ that little game they played in the waiting room. Teehee. :) Ohhh..and uhh…sounds like you’ve mastered your time management skills with a good dose of pleasure in between your work. LOL And HELL YEAH I’d like an extra update this week! Bring it on! :)
