    Spencer deals with her family, and a cool Ashley – clues of things to come… Jaded Rogue Style…

     

    ~*SoN*~

     

                “Where are you?”  Ashley almost yelled into the phone, the connection was awful.  She was hopping from one foot to the other, just filled with joy.

     

                “France, but just for the week, then I’m going back to Africa.”  The broken voice came over the fragile connection.  More static, and a laugh from the other person. 

     

                “Paris?”

     

                “No, just some little village, how are you?” 

     

                “I’m ok.  I have a new girl.”  Ashley said into the phone, one hand blocking her other ear, listening for every nuance in the voice that was so far away.

     

                “Oh really?  Do you have my new email?  I sent you an email yesterday.  Some pictures too!  Lee?  Ash are you there?” 

     

                “I got it!  I got your email, your hair is sooo long!  Do you hear me?”

     

                “Yeah, I got you back.  Did you see, I’m not as pale as a vampire anymore either!  You should see this phone!  It has the little dialing ring!  It took me like five minutes to dial your number?  What time is it there?”

     

                “Almost noon.  You?”

     

                “I haven’t a clue, you know me, I run on empty most of the time.  I miss you Lee, I wish I was there.”  The mysterious person on the other send of the phone said.

     

                “I do to….”

     

                “…what?…,” came the broken reply.

     

                “I said, I MISS YOU TOO!”  Ashley bellowed into the phone, and the line when dead.  “No, no… fuck…”  Ashley hit the redial on the button, and got a busy signal.  Ashley ached for a long moment.  The phone didn’t ring back, she waited, knowing that the phone wasn’t going to ring again.  Five minutes, it hadn’t been long enough.  Damn it, she never had any time with people she loved, they either left, didn’t care or disappeared from her life. 

     

                “Who was that?”  Spencer asked from behind her.  Ashley turned, tears flowing from her dark eyes.  “Ash?”  Spencer moved towards her and Ashley back away. 

     

                “Don’t…”  Ashley couldn’t be here right now, her heart ached, and she was a lost little girl again.

     

                “Ashley…”  Spencer begged, wanting to comfort her. 

     

                “Just don’t…  I…  I have to go…”  Ashley’s tears flowed freely, her cries hiccupping in her throat. 

     

                “ASHLEY!”  Spencer yelled, running towards the fleeing girl, but caught sight of Paula, and Spencer stopped, giving her a cold look.

     

                “Let her go, Spencer.”  Paula said softly, “Glen is out of surgery, come inside with your family.”  Spencer look back, seeing Ashley’s SUV bolting from the parking lot, and then at her mother. 

     

                “I’m not giving up on her.  Just so you know.”  Spencer stated coldly, pushing her way past her mother and Paula looked out the door.

     

                “She said you wouldn’t, she said she wouldn’t either, lets hope one of you is wrong.”  Paula said into the silence.

Ashley and Spencer are soooo adorable together, they remind me of my daugther and her girlfriend!!! Now to make me happy…lets see..ahhh!!! Do what you do best. Bring the drama and the happiness. Oh yeah and never break up Spence and Ash. Hope thats not asking to much!

    6. I really like this story but it might be nicer if Madison disappeared, Aiden is too good for her. Was it Ashley’s mom on the phone or is that just too obvious? Now I’m off to read The Girls Next Door

Now I don’t know if you put thought into the blood types or if they are random, so I’m not gonna EVEN say what stood out about them. All I gotta say is, if this is going where it looks like it’s going, then HOLY SHIT. Moving on…woah, what’s up with Ashley and that call? I’m definitely intrigued!
