To Spashley With Love – (Chapter: Chapter Thirty-Four)

Ashley and I had stayed up for the whole night since I had a hard time getting back to sleep. It was seven thirty in the morning. “You should try to get some sleep, Ash,” I stated with a sigh.

“I’m not tired though,” responded Ashley as she caressed my cheek. I want to stay awake with you to make sure you’re alright. I need to make sure you’re alright.

“Thanks,” I said. I need to get up though.

“Why?” asked Ashley. Whatever it is, I could get it for you.

“That’s really sweet for you to offer, but I highly doubt you could pee for me,” I pointed out with laugh. Thanks anyway. Ashley chuckled.

“No, I can’t,” responded Ashley with a smile. One of those scientists could try to figure a way around that and then we’ll talk. I kissed Ashley sweetly on her lips. Ashley intensified the kiss. I stopped the kiss and left Ashley’s room. I went to use the restroom and afterwards went to the kitchen to get water. I know it was weird, but

    “Hey, Spencer,” Kyla said.

“Hey,” I said. Sorry I woke you, Aiden, and Ashley with my reoccurring nightmares.

“Don’t worry about it,” replied Kyla. A lot of things happened in your life at the same time. The traumatic events need to affect you somewhere I suppose.

“Yeah, they did,” I sighed. The events affect my dreams every night.

“Look, this may not be my place to say, but you should talk to someone,” suggested Kyla.

“I’ve thought about it, but I don’t want Ashley to feel like she hasn’t helped me,” I responded. She has, but the nightmares aren’t leaving and it’s getting harder to wake up from them.

“There are some things that Ashley’s not qualified to handle,” explained Kyla. There are some things to leave to a professional to talk about. I know she’s not going to be happy about it, but…

“I’m not going to be happy about what, Ky?” Ashley questioned appearing.

“Ash, I’m sorry, but I had to tell Spencer about considering going to counseling,” responded Kyla simply. It’s what is best for not only Spencer, but for you, too.

“You have no right to do that,” Ashley stated. You can’t decide what is or is not best for someone.
