To Spashley With Love – (Chapter: Chapter Thirty-Four)
“I’m sorry, sis but you said yourself the nightmares are getting worse,” pointed out Kyla. What if she can’t wake up from the nightmares at all? You told me yourself Spencer’s Dad is a social worker, maybe he could help her out.
“He doesn’t know about what happened recently,” I sighed.
“What?” asked Ashley with concern. Ashley rubbed my arm. H-how could you not tell him, baby?
“He wouldn’t want me living here with you anymore,” I answered on the verge of tears. I don’t want to broadcast to my Dad that I was the reason why a girl committed suicide and why the girl I’m in love with got stabbed. The only reason Glen knows is because he’s dating gossip queen Madison.
“Sweetie, it wasn’t your fault what happened,” pointed out Ashley.
“You’re about the only person who believes that,” I stated in tears. Most of King High sees me as a murderer. I s-shouldn’t have ever challenged Chelsea to that fight. Things wouldn’t have been this way. Ashley pulled me into a comforting hug and kissed my forehead.
“I don’t believe it was your fault either, Spencer,” said Kyla. I wasn’t there, but it sounds like Chelsea had her issues. Bad things just happen to good people and you are lucky that Ash was there if she wasn’t you could’ve gotten hurt. I’m sure my sister here wouldn’t want that. With that said I’m taking a doughnut and going to leave you girls to talk.
“I’m sorry for snapping at you, Ky,” Ashley sighed.
“It’s fine, but Spencer wants to go to counseling it is ultimately her decision, not mine or yours,” responded Kyla. Remember that. Kyla walked away.
“Please don’t get mad, babe, but I think your sister’s right and I may need to see a counselor,” I began. I don’t know what else to do. I’ll see where it goes from there.
“If that is what you think that is best for you, baby,” responded Ashley. I’m not going to stand in your way of you getting the help that you need. I hate seeing you in pain or miserable. I just wish that I was the one you could talk to.
“I can talk to you, Ash, there are some things running in my mind that I don’t even know about,” I explained. You’re seventeen, sweetie. It’s not your job to be my girlfriend and my counselor.
